It's more likely at the end of the night she tallied up her receipts and turned them in forgetting to take down your number. A few days later it occurred to her she doesn't have your number. She's probably hoping you show up again. |

yea i mean it's different if it's a place you go to all the time and they sort of know you're not just some random drunk jerk. for example... after we broke up, my ex-boyfriend asked out this chick that worked at a restaurant that we knew from going there like once or twice a week. |

Agreed! I remember a co-worker. She was a short, short adorable blonde who looked like a little girl, when she really had a son. She would LATHER guests with compliments and always be touching them, laughing and then come in the back of the house and be like "THOSE IN' S!" after seeing her tip. Even though we hung out, I never felt I could really trust her. But damn, it wasn't uncommon for her to walk out with $300 cash on a Saturday night. It's all politics. I have to get out. I don't want to become like that! :nervous: |

yea i always thought i was a pretty good server as far as everyone's order always being right and the food always came out timely and i rarely ed things up, but i never went that extra step cuz i wasn't into it, like, "and how is everyone this lovely evening?"
i was always just like, "hey i'm jamie, what can i get you to drink" lol short and sweet..
and i got hit on mostly by older business men on the lunch shift. this one guy would come in all the time and ask for me w/ all his partners or whatever, we called him the stalker. then one day he gives me his business card in case i "ever need a job" and i look at the card and it's this big construction company that my mom's firm represents and it turned out he knew all the attorneys at my mom's work! haahha they're all these phony soccer dad "good christian" type..yea right. he was mortified when i told him who my mom was (he dealt with her on the phone a lot). then he didn't come in much after that... lol |

yeah waitresses can be real whores sometimes. i don't know maybe its our fault for liking a pretty girl to flirt with us.  i'm with FF i can never tell what is real and what is tip whoring. |
