one of the more fun nite's I've had out this year > personally I thought the man like played the best set I've heard from him in this city since his Karma set years ago but that's just my tastes >> enjoyed Porter too for the lil bit that I got to check him out
all in a all a fun nite of shakin’ ma thang, drinkin’, meeting people & having a laugh :D |
Yes, there was quite a bit of thang shakin going on Ro ;)
I agree - nothing from Involver. This was much more intense music. I have pics / videos but I need somewhere to post. |

Great night! Steve was excellent and so was Sasha. I didnt make it downstairs only managed to see Steve and Sasha. Sasha built it up real nice and quick. About halfway thru his set he put on a 'bathroom track'. Halfway thru his little break the music stopped. That sucked. But his buddy in the booth got it going again after a minute. Some real slow track that forced him to build the momentum back up.
Nice to meet aquadyne on the dancefloor. Wish we couldve talked more, its just so damn loud! At least at Vision you can hear a bit better.
Got a few pics and some vids at the website. And also one of that song with those female vocals you were talking about jonze234.
Should be the third one, 132_3289. |
Just checked your videos...you had to be standing next to me the entire night. I totally remember going nuts to that last one w/ the buildup. And what is that "Why Go" track??? Sounds kind of Prydz/Ingrosso/Angello-ish. |

| Sasha's set was super chill. Me, Zoulas, and two others showed up 20 minutes into the set, and before you know it it was over, then it started up again, and then it was really over. Anybody know if that five minutes of silence was planned or not? It didn't seem like it. I honestly only recognized that one track from Airdrawn. When we listened to Involver on the ride back we maybe noticed one song he may have played, but it was the day after so we were unsure. I love all these videos and pictures. If somebody could come up with a tracklist, that would be sweet. I don't think it'll happen though because his set was so blended and dark and just down right tasty. I can't think of a better way to spend a night in Chicago, except maybe move the DJ over to the HOB. |

gahhhhhd nooo!!! (replace "the HOB" with "Vision" and we're set)
concert venues should be used for concerts, not DJs. i mean i like HOB but not for seeing DJs... the floor shakes and you can't see anything, it's just not a great atmosphere for that kind of music. |

| Do you remember when Tiesto layed down "dirty SHAKY floors" (aka. Dirty Sticky Floors) at the H.O.B. like a year or two ago? That is the only time I have ever been there, and the place was crazy that night. I've never been to Vision yet, so maybe thats why my comment was so rookdified. Anyways, the point is, I don't like the Soundbar as a venue much. I hate those pillars in the middle of the floor. |

lol @ dirty shaky floors... i wasn't there for that Tiesto show but i saw both PVD and Ferry there back in 2003. the records skipped quite a bit due to the floor shaking like an earthquake. but yea, you definitely need to check out Vision. i'm so biased about Vision that i don't even want to go anywhere else unless it's a DJ i am really dying to see.
although, i am looking forward to having a HOB in Milwaukee! |
