Yeah the case is freaking perplexing. Anyways, I am blown away by this album. I have never listened to a better sounding album, in any genre, in my life. The flow, everything was jsut amazing. However, emotion peaks only in a few places and although I love that rock inspired track at the end, I could have used more moments like come to me.

How does this compare to Sasha's 05-22-2005 Essential mix, track-wise?

with the exception of two or three tracks, I personally thought the set was fantastic!

this CD is pretty good. at first i was not too fond of it, but the more i listen to it, the more i learn to appreciate most of the tracks and the mixing.

The mixing is fantastic! Seriously, it's one of the best produced albums I've heard. However, I have a little trouble with the lack of peaks. It's very progressive in that it remains with largely the same tone and energy throughout the disc until Strict Machine comes in at the end. All in all, I thoroughly enjoy it though, and would give it like an 8.5/10.

Highlights for me were the Adam Johnson track (loved the melody), the Funk d'Void track, and the finish. Come to Me too of course.

I totally agree! I bought this CD a few days ago and after a few times listening to not even the whole CD, I'm now starting to listen to the whole thing and appreciating it more and more as well. The mixing is amazing and I'm loving the flow of it the more I listen to it. This is slowly becoming one of my favorites of the year so far.

Its a good different, but nothing terribly spectacular.

it's a really, really good cd. it has some amazing moments that only sasha could create with the blended elements from multiple songs, and its also one hell of a ride.

if you guys don't get why some of this music on the disc is what it is as opposed to some upbeat sasha set, here is why: the cd is inspired by a 6 month nyc residency... this led sasha to take his sets into differnet places than usual particularly with the response to his guest DJs (with whom he played tag-team sets at the end). therefore the musical content is not repesentative of what sasha might sound like at a club in general. what it does represent is some of the weirdly unique sounds of fundacion nyc the residency, where he drifted from his current predictable club sound and created some really unique/weird moments. i think he's purposely highlighted what has been different about his residency as opposed to what he likes to play on the whole. i know his club sets outside of new york around the same time periods were very different and upbeat all the way through, while fundacion gigs went off into tangents that included some of the more obscure sounds of this disc and therefore had a completely different feel and flow in sasha's sets.

the cd show the power using ableton-live establishing a live set such a cd mix sounds the great thing for these new djing days, and sasha know what does, he deserve all the hype because he's amazing
