Alright so I had a tech sl-dz1200 since last year and find myself downloading more tracks and want to buy another cd-deck. I'm wondering if I should buy another one or sell the one I got and get 2x cdj1000mk2's. Seeing how almost everyone uses the pioneer and it gets rave reviews compared to the tech I wanted to consider it. I only got to work on the cdj for a small amount of time and never really got to mix with it. I guess I would just have to get used to the static platter if I went for the pio... I also heard the cdj is also more accurate in terms of beatmatching. anyway what do you guys think?

id sell the tech and get the 2 cdjs cuz those techs aint gonna become the next standard among cdjs so ull always end up havin a learnin curve if u start gettin gigs, besides the cdj1000 are considered better all around ne way

i would go with the cdj-1000. i have both the cdjs and the techs. dont get me wrong i love my techs but cdjs are so accurate and easyer to use. .02% tempo adjustment is just nasty. u can make PERFECT mixes. also the sound quality is just unbeliveble.

CDJS all the way!!!

Love the setup MichaelSeto... So yeah I ended up going to guitar center on Sunday and bought a pair of the pioneer's. Only spun on them got about 3 hours but damn I'm happy. Selling my old deck... its a shame the technics had so many probs as it was a good looking design. Maybe the next generation will be better.

ESMdjm600
yea i agree in that i think the techs suffered under all that "first generation" b.s.

That's too bad... I was really hoping the Tech's would come through...... the direct drive motor was really appealing to me, especially because I'm so familiar with the turntables. That's the one thing I didn't like about the Pioneers is that they don't feel like a tt. The response seems OVERWHELMING in the Pioneer's favour.

Big difference between the 800s and 1000s?
