for some reason, i can see this pic in fantom's post, but on yours it says "image hosted by angelfire" heheh weird.
anyway, you're in data mode, you should be in audio mode. you can tell this because the scale at the bottom is in MB instead of minutes. this is why it wont burn. use the nero wizard, then its easy to pick the type of cd you want to burn each time.

I think i already messed it up, I burned a bootable cd on it - I made it into a cd for some adobe program - and now when I tell nero to erase it, nero says ok finished, then i put the cd in and it still is the bootable adobe cd ... oh well. |

hey is there any way to kind of burn these cue files into .mp3 or not onto a disk...because i usually split them, then burn, save the track and then put them on my MD...so basically i'm not using the cd

Yes, there is a way.
Use fireburner for that one... load the .cue file into it, and then save the tracks as WAV files... from which you can later on make MP3s, or whatever. |

hey i got another question
i want to burn mp3 to audio
i put all my mp3 i want to burn in one folder
if i select them all its over 800 MB (because some are 192kb quality)
but if they are imported in NERO the indicator doesnt go over the 80 minutes-mark (700 mb cds)
still if i write them it goes out of buffer ???
someone can tell me what this is???? |

Whoa, whoa, whoa... ok, if you're burning audio, it doesn't matter how big (in MBs) the MP3s are, but what matters is the total length (if you're burning on 700MB CDs, that would be 80mins). So, what you do is select all the MP3s, enqueue them in winamp, check the total playing time, and if it is under 80mins, you're good to go! Remember, if you're burning an audio CD, then the only thing that matters is the length (playing time) of all the songs, not their size in MBs.
Anyway, if you're getting "out of buffer" error message, then you are trying to burn that CD at a speed that your computer can't handle (too fast!) due to small amount of RAM, or general system specs, or you're trying to burn a CD while you have some other applications open (and they end up using RAM memomry too much, RAM that your burner needs to make CD successfully). So, either close all the other programs running in the background and in system bar, or get more RAM!

here's my 2cents about cd burning:......
You can gain some 'extra seconds' by using disc at once so you can just fit that extra track in. Lets say you are using an 80 min cd and your burning program tells you your track total time is 80:20 with 10 tracks, this will fit if you use disc at once eventhough it tells you its over 80min.
The overlapping 20 seconds will be made up by the 2 second gaps if you use disc at once.
Because (2 second gaps X 10 tracks) = 20 seconds.
To find out how much REAL time you have USED if you are going to use disc at once. do this formula:
(74min or 80min) - (2 second gaps X No. of Tracks) |

| What if I have an essential mix that is like 120min long? I have its .cue sheet, but my CD-R definately cant swallow it all. How can I split it into 2 cds without hassle? |

heres how i would do it:
look in the cuesheet and choose a place where you want to split it (like at 60 min). take the time and split the mp3 at that time.. then put the rest of the cuesheet into a new cuesheet file and subtract the length of the first mp3 (60min) from each of times in the new cuesheet.. now you should have 2 mp3s (60 mins each) and two cuesheets.. burn the cds and you’re ok!
umm.. that seems like it involves hassle:D but I hope you at least kind of understand what im trying to say!
there may be a program that can do this but I don’t know of one

I use Musiccutter. Sometimes when I try to split up a MP3-file, I get this error message: FRAME HEADER NOT FOUND
So am I doing something wrong? Is it something wrong with the MP3-file? Does the MP3 bitrate have anything to do with this error?
Please help... |
