| So I see a lot of reports and pictures from teams training for it...Brazil, Japan, Australia, Germany...but I don't really understand what it is...anyone? Help!? :conf: |

| Basically, it's a money making tournament from Fifa, it's like the summer warm up to the world cup next year, players, owners, managers all think it's pointless. |

| its the winners of the world cup, european cup, copa america, asian cup, oceania cup, africa cup, and the olympics... i think i covered them all. basically all the possible cup winners. |

| Yeah really useless. And to think about how the other tournaments are run, you could end up with 1 country as the champion of 2/3 regions and the WC:eyes:. Take Costa Rica for example. They could be champions of CONCACAF (North America/Central America/Carribean), invited to the Copa America with is South America and could possibly win the World Cup. I know it's not likely to happen, BUT, they have been invted to all of those competitions. This is why people laugh at Blatter; it's pathetic! |

im happy with the score but besides the goals (penalties included) i dont think the quality of the football on display was of the high standards that germany and especially brazil are known to produce ...
it could prolly be attributed to tiredness given that most players are coming after gruelling seasons of european football... would be unfaiir to say that the tournament is being taken lightly since both teams were full strength unlike 2 years ago when brazil sent a second string team and were rightfully knocked out in the first round
oh well on to the final for brazil and i do hope argentina beat mexico ... brazil-argentina games are always brutal ...kinda like manchester united - arseanal ... |
