We get random drug & alcohol tests every morning where I work. Ive been called up twice last month, but before that I wasnt tested for 7 months.
The drug test is for opiates, pot & anphetimines by urine sample. The alchol test is by a blower. There is a ZERO tolerance at this workplace.
A bloke got fired the other month because he went to a party the night before & got face. He got selected fot the random in the morning & he still had alcohol in his system. |

Considering the widespread use of drugs in our society, its a wonder groups like NORML don't have more participation. Drug companies and doctors pump viagra and anti-depressants down our throats, alcohol is romanticized in entertainment and in advertisements, caffiene is widely avaliable, and nicotine use is still readily acceptable. Yet when it comes to some drugs, the government and society turn up their nose at users and label them negatively.
I rarely agree with smokeape but he brings up an excellent point; if you want to do something, you've got to put the weed aside and dedicate yourself to making both your life and society in general a more reasonable place. On a personal level, Id like to see either legalized drugs across the board, or illegalized across the board; no more hypocritical policy. That would entail a gigantic societal shift in thinking, including what I think is the biggest travesty of all: drugs being an acceptable excuse for comitting a crime. For instance, in modern society, if you are strung out on crack and you kill someone, the fact that you were on crack and not yourself is often an acceptable defense. This should not be so, imo. We need to push (if legalizing all drugs) more personal responsibility and less blame. Sadly, it seems, America as a society is drifting away from personal responsibility... |

The best thread ever?
We've had tips on purifying your urine that a scientist wouldn't know, strategies on smuggling other people's urine that would make the script of a movie on the CIA, animal urine, drug counselling, experimental herbal drugs, the list goes on... |

Alcohol is a ing drug too, going to work stoned is probably a lot better than going to work drunk. I know its legal but you can't deny that it's a drug just like pot.
Drug testing is such bull, your job is controlling what you do in your personal life. It would make a whole lot more sense for a company to make the rule "don't bring drugs to work and don't come to work under the influence"...you come to work high or w/ drugs, you're fired, simple as that. There are definetly many capable people out there looking for jobs but they're denied positions just because they smoke a little pot now and then. Whether you smoke once a month or three times a day, you're still not going to get the job...theres no way to distinguish between the two.

i went to a high school where almost everyone was doing drugs. can this attribute to the fact it was the worst school in san diego?
i only went there for 2 weeks until i pulled myself out and drove half an hour to a better school
hell, my first job was at a family fun center: no drug testing. Look at that. on my first day i was offered some thing in a roll (marij?) while i was supposed to be watching kids on the go karts |

| Get a load of any kind of energy drink, most preferably AMP made by Mountain Dew, get a lot of Cranberry juice and drink non stop, then put on some heavy clothes and work out harder than you have ever worked out. Drink some more, and work out. The maltodexitren flushes the THC out of your system and it makes you pee A lot. Working out would speed the process up, and the cranberry juice is just a rumor, but it worled for me. I dide this process 3 days before a drug test after smoking everyday for like 9 months and it worked. Best of luck. |

I figure by the time i get the next call in, i'll be fine.
but this job i was basically handed to me went straight out the window.
oh well, i didn't wanna work 50hrs a week anyway! :haha:
and yeah, i've decided to quit smoking weed for the time being.
I just don't see the point in ruining my future. I'm practically out of college, lookin for a full timer, and I need some good money. I didn't come to the states to blow my future on Mary Jane.
and you all know i am a lover of weed, a fukin lover to the extreme.
but hey, i guess sometimes you just gotta conform, cuz otherwise I'll be a bum skate boarding in empty swimming pools :wtf:
i figure, once i get a job and figure out how the place works, i can start up again (as long as i figure out when they drug test, or if they drug test at all)
but until then, I kiss Mary Jane goodbye. :( |
