| Umm, look noble, I don't think you realize it, but most european members of this board are pro and not anti EU. The thing is that you simply have a too shallow understanding of the EU and its internal processes to make a sufficiently valid statement that everyone will agree with. Hence the reason why everyone is against you on one point or another. |

and the deadlock continues:
| quote: | | London insists any change must be linked to reform of EU farm subsidies |
| quote: | | French President Jacques Chirac is refusing to discuss any cut in farm subsidies and says the rebate should "under no circumstances be linked to a reform of farm expenditure". |
doesnt look good... probably gonna end up keeping UK rebate, and no reform in CAP =/ but yeah, i still like that blair is putting some pressure on france here! CAP reform is a lot more needed than the UK rebate reform... |

Norway
Iceland
Lichtenstein
Switzzerland (im pretty sure) is not a member of EEC, but ratifies every new treaty by itself. They are part of the free trade agreements (rome treaty) and just passed the schengen treaty tho! |
EFTA
http://secretariat.efta.int/
yes, Switzerland is in the EFTA.
it's not, however, in the EEA
http://secretariat.efta.int/Web/Eur...ea/introduction
Switzerland also ratified several "EU" treaties, but it not a member.
There's also the Council of Europe, which includes many more countries than the EU.

None of them are anything to do with the EU
And thats not the Council of Europe or even te European Council
Unless the website ends in .eu it has nothing to do with the EU (EU members just happen to be members, like NATO or UN) |

I never said anyone here was anti-EU, and at no time conveyed any such suspicion.
Just FYI, I will no longer respond to distortions of what I have said (see above), blatant fabrications, or juvenille blanket statements.
If I don't respond, it's because:
1. I'm either ignoring the above categories;
2. Because I can't be bothered to spend the time to repost what I've already said (RTFP);
3. Because I can't be bothered to llustrate how I said "X" and you (and most others in this thread) somehow magically came away with "Y".
I really don't have the time to hand-hold anyone. It's a basic courtesy to pay attention and not misrepresent people. You'd expect to find educated people in a political forum -- but just like all things internet, one person misrepresents you, and then the mindless hoardes descend. :rolleyes:
I've been the subject of multiple bigoted remarks (due to being Canadian), and have even been accused of being anti-EU in this thread, when my nick is "TheNobleEU." :crazy: :eyespop: The ratio of ADD extant around here is astonishing -- I can only conclude some people here are dyslexic and/or suffer from the internet-virus of reading one sentence and responding without reading a whole post first.
And I could care less who agrees or doesn't agree with me. Are you here, in this political forum, because you "want everyone to agree with you?"
If you are, I'm afraid you're on a fool's errand.
If everyone agrees around here, then:
1. People here aren't making their true political opinions known;
2. People here don't possess the intellectual responsibility/maturity to develop an opinion.
Take your pick. Any other condition results in conflict of interest and discussion.
That this need be pointed out speaks volumes...
Cheers,
-Noble |

I take offence at that I am. What does it have to do with anything exactly?
And why'd you change your name DigiNut? |

Well there's that and I'm also here to educate the people who dont agree with me, sometimes with hard facts, sometimes with insults, both seem to do the trick! |

I dunno the fallacy comment, the fact that he's been here before, the lack of sence the over complication of the argument to distract from being wrong.....
:D
And as for being lysdexic has nothing to do with | quote: | | The ratio of ADD extant around here is astonishing -- I can only conclude some people here are dyslexic.... | my ADD is entirely separate from my crap handwritting. ;)
And how could it be a ratio, with respect to what thouse without? And what is extant?
Has he considered that maybe he has "the lysdexia"? Just a heads up like.
(Just following the thread hi-jack he started to avoid the issue of not making sence) |
