First off Erik K sucked worse than any opener I have ever seen at Vision and I have seen some bad ones. The Self promotion was sickning I thought I was listening to a Dj Marski ski mix from 1999, I guess the track selection was like a ski mix too. I thought the worst thing about him was his shirt that said " hip hop", who does he think he is? Im not the biggest hip -hop fan but I do like alot of the underground stuff and the fact he is saying a whole genre of music just makes him ignorant. I just felt that he was spinning "trance" because its cool.
Luckily Ferry came on and just rocked, I used to be a Ferry Corsten freak but have gotten a little out of touch lately, but he threw down an awesome set. I really wanted Punk but what are ya gonna do. At the end of the night around 445 after he spun Sublime there was a punk chant going but he couldnt play anymore. I was also suprised how many people were left that late into the night. Ferry looked like he was enjoying hinself too, which is why I think I still like seeing him even though Im not into trance anymore. He seems to remain costant whith his sound after all this time which is refreshing. Does anyone know that first track he spun it was really awesome?
Meeting all the newer TA's was awesome! Rob, Andy, Phreek, Aristronica , I think thats everyone if I forgot anyone Im sorry well party again real soon when I dont have a bunch of non TA's with me! |

Just for the record, I'm pretty sure he was wearing an "FCUK" shirt, a popular clothing company in the U.K. But I do agree completely, you knew why he was wearing it, regardless of it being a fashionable shirt... His whole demeanor was one of "I'm teh Superstar DJ, let's see how many times I can rock the Jesus pose before 1.." And the whole attitude of " Hip Hop" in general really irritates me... there's really bad music in every genre (Most of it ends up on some industry chart...) and he was obviously just playing to the crowd...
And Neile man, it was really damn nice to meet you... TylerC might have a contender for the "MW TA All Around Nice Guy" award :D... Hope we can get together again before the Summer's out...
JAV/JXL, I'm telling you guys, that'll be the night of the Summer this year!

im juliet...i was the one who met everyone at the hotel but didnt go to ferry? im glad everyone had a great time.

CT!!!???? my parents live in Branford - like 20 mins... east i wanna say of New Haven. i just moved to chi-town area but definitely gonna spend some summers in CT sometime, what are you doing in Chicago? |

and i was just waiting for Ferry to spin Adrenaline too...seems that a lot of people were waiting for him to drop it. |

Hi this is Tony.....
I was tall bald guy that showed up this weekend.
It was my first show at vision, and I had such an excellent time.
Its been very rare lately where I meet a group of such exceptional people.
....... and on top of that Ferry was brilliant.
Once again I really have to that Myra and Devin for Taking me down to the show, and all of you for showing me such an excellent time.
Glad to be a TA!!!!!!!!!! |
