In addition to other things, yes. I don't believe simply tuna and sweetcorn will provide you with enough Calories and Carbohydrates to fuel your exercise. These things would be better eaten as complimentary to more nutritionally well-balanced meals.
Anabolic Steroids. |
so its ok to eat just as normal food everyday and do exercise?
I'm not really keen on steroids, bcoz i heard some bad stories about them plus they are expensive! >.< |

I don't really use wieghts and stuff, I do pull ups, push ups and thats about it for my chest and arms, I don't really work on my legs I like them as the way they are, I never liked muscly legs(dont know why). and for sit up I do it in my own way wich is hard to explain and take time, but I think its effective :D.
What I need to know is that, is it okay to work on my arms everyday, like say I do 200 push ups everyday, is that going to be okay?
and thanx for the tuna advice, so I dont have to worry about my diet :D. by the way is your gf fit? just wondering if the diet is really effectiv in long terms...no offenc at all. :) |
Well, for what you've described, you won't meet an end result of more muscle. You will end up lean and that's about it. You need more resistance to bulk up. You are not increasing resistance to build more muscle by doing more pullups/pushups/situps, you're just increasing stamina. You can try pullups with an inner tube filled with sand (which I've done before with about 50 lbs). You should bench press versus pushups to exercise the same muscles. You can do situps with weights (like a 25lb or couple plates behind your head) and do less of them instead of inclined crap. Pullups help, but you need some curls as well to build the arms for the dramatic effect.
You also have to stick to a routine for results. Most peeps do it a week or so, then find excuses to stop. So they end up starting all over again in a month back where they began. I see jumbos at the park every day sweating their fat arses off that I never see again for a long time.
;)

oh thats really what I want, I dont wanna get BIG muscles, I wanna have my own body but all muscles like being thin but still muscly, I hope you know what i mean.
for the routin I got that coverd too, normaly I do like about 200push ups and 60 pull ups and then work on my lowerbody like my abs and back. but now I only do half of those in one tday and the other half in other day, so it wont put so much prssur on me. hope its a good idea :D
about putting some wieght on me when doing pull ups, actually I like that I dea, I might go buy those things that can be attached to foot for increasing the wieght. again Good Idea :D
overall great advice smoky, cheers! :D |

Free weight like a dumbbell or barbell. they usually go in increments of 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 pounds etc here (over in the UK i suppose they would go in increments of kilograms, but i'm not sure).
and yeah like i said, if you can substitute something else for free weights, like a bag full of water, then i suppose there's no harm.
just make sure you're doing the exercise right. Be creative. |

| I use a couple of medicine balls to exercise. One weighs 15 lbs and the other weighs 20. Perfect for weighted side bends and twists. It's easy to do explosive power movements by throwing them backwards over my head as hard and fast as possible, so long as I can find a clear open area like a public park, basketball court, or elementary school playground. But for some reason the cops keep trying to arrest me when I take them out and begin my sessions. |

If you are trying to stay lean and trim then you need to cut alot of carbs out of your diet and eat protien, protien, protien...eggs, fish, chicken. Also protien shakes are good too but you really need to research them and stick to one a day at the most. Also eat veggies like green beans and snack on an apple, eat 6 small meals no more then 10oz of meat/fish per meal about 2-3 times an hour throught the day and do cardio and some weights to tone. For a little bit of carbs eat 1 cup of brown rice a day. Measuring food is important! Portion size! If you cant get to the gym then try running outside, biking or in line skating for at least 45 min.(after that time you start burning muscle wh/ you dont want to do). Do that at least 3-4 days a week. Keep it up it might be a slow progress at first and your body will go through a change with food but stick with it and the results will be awesome!!!!!
Also go to your vitamin store and have them help you pick out supplements to take like flaxseed oil or codliver oil pills!
Good Luck
ps if working out by yourself you need to really push yourself bc a personal trainer will kick your ass...trust me I know:whip: :tongue2 |
