You can't just tell someone exactly what to do. If you pick 10 separate bodybuilders of the same weight, height, and proportion, you will find 10 different workout regimes. Each effectively personalized and probably less efficient for most other people if they tried to adopt one. That's why all of your advice is bad, Hercules. Or perhaps I should say, that's why most of the advice in the workout threads is bad.
I can tell you general scientific principles that apply to the human body and its response to various exercises. I can tell you what exercises work what muscles and a minimum/maximum range in which to do them. I can tell you how long it takes me to work out. I can't say: "To build x you must do x for x amount of time, like me, because if it works for me it works for everyone."
A workout regime is a very customizable thing. It is a thing that must be customized to one's own individual body type in order to work best. There is no universal workout.

these are generally agreed on principles. i can tell you all about metabolism and ketosis and all that other , but these are typically what work....GENERALLY. No they dont all apply to everyone. Thats the most generic point you can make about ANYTHING.
but saying that 5x40 reps might bulk you up is most likely going to be wrong. Certain ranges, certain weights, certain exerises all have general effects on most people. Dont nit pick, and if you wanted to make him a personalized routine then do it, instead of ting on everyone elses ideas. |

| I can't make him a personalized workout regime. He must make his own through trial and error. At least, that's the best way do go about it. I'm not ting on your ideas. I'm sure that what works for you works for you. What i'm not so sure about is that it will work for me or Googoly. Now he or I could try something that works for you because it might work for us as well. But there's no automatic guarantee that it will. That's all i'm trying to say. |

| well..yeah. But like I said, starting off with a general template to tweak as you will is better than walking in knowing noting and building up from scratch for years. Theres a reason personal trainers can do what they do. |

| But yes, they work indeed - your muscles contract rhythmically, basically exactly like when training. So they DO work - then it's just a matter of turning up the voltage. |

That's the problem: Nobody gives a general template in those threads, everyone gives their own workout and says "Do this." |

I give people personalized PMs all the time. which is why they arent in the threads. I made http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...light=beginners
for people with basic body types goals, and the whole idea is you take that and see what works and change it. Im always more than willing to IM people about historical metabolism, body fat, diets, everything because exercising is just an outlet for your lifestyle and what comes out is based on everything else. |
