tips for making my dog STFU

my dogs live outside and i live in a bungalow, anyways the dogs pen thing is right next to my window. At night 1-5am my dog never STFU's barking at nothing... its getting worse and worse and the only way i can make it stop is either to kick the living out of it or scold it with boiling water... so these arent very good methods obvisouly and need something that will shut it up forever, primerly not killing it :D
also i have another dog so there is no one lurking around or anything

i acutally yell at dogs and tell them to STFU.

| best thing to do is to smoke them out. they get all mellow and then the munchies hit them. |

he's obviously scared of something, if its a pen, drape the top w/ a black blanket and block the sides so hje cannot see.
he'll learn that when the blankets are on, he'll feel protected. also, some dogs bark because of lack of exercise & not enough socialization with other dogs(could be hes crying out) or not enough human/master interaction...
either way, it sounds like your dog is neglected and maybe you should give it to a proper owner |

it isnt neglected mate, that has offended me abit, though i have had one of my dogs for 11 years, just this one with the problem for 2 years, its a russel, i dont know if that has anything to do with it though.
