well, like lyss said, its a very nice suburban safe-looking apartment complex, but stuff like this happens anywhere i guess. i cant get a big dog b/c 1) i have 2 cats and 2) big dogs are not allowed here. but danny is getting the alarm registered at the police station today and buying a deadbolt, and lyss, he actually bought a cell phone 2 days ago (finally!). but that tazer gun thing sounds like a really good idea. i am going to look into that.
and the only way into my apartment is my front door. we are on the third floor, there is no way to get to the balcony and there is no back door. so i think my best bet is just taking care of that front door.
and maybe having danny give me some karate lessons!! |

| I'm so glad you're ok! My boyfriend and his friend tried something dumb one time and pretended to be breaking into the house while I was alone in it, it was a ing scary moment, my heart felt like it stopped and I was on the verge of going into the kitchen for a knife cause that's all I could think of. I'm not even gonna joke about this, I'm so relieved nothing happened to you... be safer in the future hun! |

kew gardens, yeah
she was stabbed on austin street in the 1950s? 1960s? multiple times. she cried out for help many many times; people came up to their apt windows, but no one called the police. she was left to die on the street, right near the LIRR station. |
holy crap...that is really freaky! my friend lived in kew gardens for a summer and after looking at those pictures, i hung out AT that same spot where she was stabbed!!! :nervous: :nervous: i recognized it because there is a bar there and that alleyway with the train station at the end of it was right where we smoked. creepy. |

buy one of these and point it at your front door
i was watching this on 60 min a couple weeks ago and apparently this gun is easier to get then a hand gun. really scare if you ask me. it has a range of about 2km and will put a hole the size of a soccerball in pretty much anything it hits. |

What was that dog that Trance X posted a few weeks ago (I forget what thread it was) but I think it was a bull mastiff (cross breed between a pit bull and mastiff)??? |
Bandog.
It's a cross between a Neapolitan Mastiff female and a Pitbull male.

I have a feeling that it would be too much for Amy (and most others) to handle, however. ;) |

How about that lady that was being stabbed by her ex-boyfriend in the middle of an intersection in Towson, in broad daylight, last week?
The woman is alive and recovering only because my aunt's former neighbor (a lawyer of, all things) got out of his car and beat the ex-boyfriend off of her with a fire-extinguisher. I heard she was stabbed over 20 times. :( |

| quote: | A message from Ronnie Barrett:
In the never-ending battle to destroy our constitution, more “big lie” propaganda is being dumped on our elected officials. The rhetoric given forth by the Violence Policy Center (VPC) so easily deceived the legislators of California resulting in the banning of fifty caliber rifles because they are powerful and their bullets punch holes when they strike. Even single shot .50 cal rifles were banned. It’s hard to believe we live in such a dark time that someone has actually banned a single shot rifle. But as you will see, this is the cleverest of all gun bans, and the end goal is civilian disarmament, the confiscation of your tools of liberty, your rifles.
What lies before us is the continuation of the misinformation campaign, trying to coax yet another state to infringe upon the U.S. Constitution as California did. The anti- freedom/anti-gun movement has discovered how transparent they appear when they propose sweeping gun bans and now are successful by biting off a little at a time. Ever so small, many politicians are trading off your rights without you recognizing their violations.
