he's been around forever, yet I only just met him this passed weekend.
These are just two examples of what's wrong with TOTA. After a whole year, I am further behind on meeting them all than I was when I joined. Too many bloody people....
So who's with me when I say:

I have no problem with all the noobs, but I agree that it's tough to read all of the "Welcome so-and-so to the board!" threads... I usually just end up skipping over them altogether! Not a big deal one way or another to me... |

Believe it or not, TA forums use to be about trance and EDM.
Now, its being whored out as an avenue to complain or fight meaningless political battles.

| The more people the better. If everyone shares the love for the music and the scene, whats the problem? theres isnt one. Theres so many TAs, and regardless if more get added or not, i'll always have a problem with remembering names. You meet people, make the group bigger, and it makes everyone more enjoyable. These people are getting signed up with TA because they see how the scene is, they love it, and want to be more involved, and I think thats awesome. We were all once newbs, so who cares if more are signing up, we should be loving it! More connections with people, more friendships made, more fun times, and great times. |

| To add to this discussion. I don't see the new people actually sticking around for too long. They will hang out for a bit and then leave. Very few true TOTAs can be created. |

is there a limit on how many ppl can join/ wk?? and if not then who cares !!! get used to it..like starsearcher, say hi or not and forget about "US"....I came on here for the music...I heard about it through Yankeebaby in MTL and I joined right after Bal en Blanc weekend. I joined to get updates on EDM events mostly but when I started reading the T.O forum I couldn't help but post! Is there something wrong with that? Please don't think I'm bitchin right about now but I don't see how new TA's joining is an issue that requires a 'chill out on enlisting 63 new TA's per week' thread?? :conf: ...yeah having so many threads for each new member is a piss off I can totally understand, but that can be altered!
And now i can gladly say that there are MANY ppl on this site that are friendly, considerate, fun to party with and just cool overall!!! Perhaps you would have to be an oldskool TOTA to understand the point of this thread...anyways that was my two cents but I love everyone i have met and unlike Dan I remember names!!!:eyes: :haha: :) |
