I think he played Pride last year Sean and It was like Disco?

So my opinion stands DOH!

But never mind that...
...just so up in an hour, be Fresh and be Clean! LOL

*broken*

This weekend absolutely rocked.

thurs: PRISM Ignition party @ 5ive with TK and DJ Paolo. TK is always fun...Paolo was decent, a bit circuity (but that's to be expected for Pride week though). much drinking.

fri: chill...hung out with a friend for most of the night.

sat: caught the 2nd half of Sarah's set at the Central Stage in the early afternoon...very fun. Non-musical highlight was her beaning one of the boys in the head with a record, lol. btw Sarah, the DJ after you was Nikki Red (sp?) according to a lineup card I read. um...we'll be diplomatic and say that she was having "technical difficulties" in between pretty much every track. much drinking + dinner followed by a 2 hour nap...wake up, still kind of trashed...caught a tiny bit of Chiclet's set at the Central Stage, a few songs by David Usher at the South Stage (he's sooooo good live!!), then drinks at a friend's place before heading to KH.

the saturday party rocked...PRISM redeemed themselves nicely after last year's unfortunate circumstances. Got there ~1am, immediately met up with a few friends already there...dunno who was on, but the music was actually pretty fun...debauchery ensued. I spent little time in KH itself, except in the VIP area early on for drinks...spent much of the night in the outdoor tent to hear Sydney Blu, Sarah, TK and Chiclet...great tunes out there! I know Sarah was having a good time behind the decks ;) Caught some of Tony Moran at the end as the outdoor area was shutting down...pleasantly surprised with some hard beats...took off sometime around 7, I think. Very well organized party...no problems whatsover...couldn't have scripted a better night (unless maybe Armin was on the bill ;) )

Spent most of the party with someone I ran into early on...who I'd met a couple of times before, but didn't know very well at all...ended up hanging out with him for the next two days straight...that was awesome. We chilled at a friend's place all day after the party, went for dinner/drinks later with a couple of friends of mine who were in town, and caught the tail end of Jelo on the Wellesley stage as he dropped some killer beats...great to see some TAs enjoying the event: RJ, Sean, Frank, Margaret, Ray, Graham + a few more I'm forgetting right now and the many more who were apparently there earlier.

We briefly considered doing the Rauhofer party that night since we both had all-weekend passes...that idea was quickly put to rest since we hadn't slept yet from the saturday party...crashed at 2am after sitting around and watching the always-entertaining characters walking up and down Church st.

After this weekend, I expect a personal "thank you for your support!" letter from the good people at Stella Artois, lol.

- estimated 1 million people attended + $80 million into the economy
- a HUGE mess that was *gone* come monday morning to the incredible clean up crews + volunteers.
- drama-free partying all weekend long.

looking forward to next year :)

I have heard DJ DAN - over a dozen times (MOONSHINE - REGULAR).

He spins good funky house - he played good songs - programming might have been off - but no reason to say never come back......:whip: C'mon Mark - (you are not a nOOb) that's how people ruin future parties making comments like this.....every DJ has off sets.........just as everybody has off days at work/home/play.........many people enjoyed themselves (you were there - you know this) and it was a HELL lot better than having some CIRCUIT DIVA VOCAL CRAP for hours and hours.......that would have had everyone in our group crying foul........especially me :D

DJ DAN - can come back - Mark - you will just choose not to go

Thank you - come again! ;)

I saw DJ Dan in Calgary two years ago, and have great pic of me with him! I would love to show it to him sometime! Ahhh, only if I wasn't working! Sounds like you all had a blast! I love pride weekend!

I am embarressed to admit but proud say I finally checked out this crazy party. And what an incredible adventurous time it was!

Got there around 8 ater a day of "partying" at home and quickly found the TA crew (well maybe they found me cause in a land of freaks i still stand out). DE-KOZE was throwing down his dirty beats as per usual and the only thing to do in a situation like that dance your ass off - an exhilerating experiance on the streets downtown. I was lookinng forward to cathcing Jelo cause I don't get much opportunity to hear his sick brand of hard funky beats..... throughly enjoyed dancing with all the wicked TAcrew that was there, Nat, Ray , Marg, Graham, Frank + Rochelle :D, Dallas, Craig, feems and preppie chick and the many more familiar faces that were abundant...... Awesome to share great moments with great ppl.

When the stage ended and I had to say goodbye to you all is when the night really started. Met up with a friend and started to do the post party bar hop along church taking advantage of the late last call. Started at a place lured in by "tiesto just be" and some rather tracey tunes. Left pretty quickly when Sandstorm started to play and the sketchy patrons started to make us uncomfortable - I never knew asking for e in a club got such negative reaction.

So we then we found our way to Zippers upon recommendation that we would find what we wanted there. We walk into the place and walk into a piano bar where old men are having a broadway sing along.... Courtney and I were like WTF? I was proceed to be urged to remove my shirt for some guy - which was all in good fun and we went to expore a little (shirt on). Only to find a curtain that led to an enormous back room packed with people rocking out to disco and 80's dance. First time I ever heard "the locomotion" at a club LOL. But it turned to be really fun dancing to old disco and retro without the stupid rock filler that you get at retro clubs - fun to hear groove is in the heart , total eclipse of the heart, erotic city, when doves cry, Blue monday etc. you get the picture.... I just personally wish they threw in some Classic House (mmm Break 4 Love).

But all in all a great time was had a refreshing adventure with good friends... can't wait for next year!!!
