FP Loft Party review

| Got there way early because Brianna had to print out the list and start working the door. This time, we didn't let the annoying ass candy ravers with glow sticks in!!! Place started to fill in around 12. The crowd was much better than last time even with the crew of Factory heads that showed up....but really they were quite entertaining with their fist pumping dance offs. :haha: Music wise.....everybody was on point. Alex Pierce was killing it.....alot harder than his usual sets....also doing some cool with the sampler. Bolker was great as always. But the man of the night for me was deff Joel (BeURSeLF)......his first time playing out at the loft and damn did he IMPRESSED EVERYBODY!!! Amazing set bro......mixing was on point and the tracks were HOT!!! Elements and Strings of Life.....need I say more!!!:crazy: Adam (wheels of steel) also did a great job mixing from hard J00f style trance into house. Too bad Big Mike couldn't stick around to play his set. Everybody did a great job.....one of the best loft partys to date.;) The only thing that sucked about the whole night was that hardly ANY TAs showed up?!?!? WTF is up with that????? You fools better come out and support the next one!!! Pr0ps to Bree for running the list. |

What time did Joel spin?? I got home from an engagement party in NJ around 1030...and was planning on taking a nap till 2am and then heading over...well that didnt happen. The next time I looked at the clock it was nearly 8am!!! Then I had a gradutation to be at by 11am, so it was impossible to go over. My apologies for missing what it sounded like a great time. I missed hanging w/ some of my closest pals and some who I havent seen in ages and I missed dancing and having the music and vibe take me to that special place.
Will most def be there for the next one!!!!

Actually had a really good time at the loft sat. night. I even wished I could have stayed longer but I had to go to CHURCH!!! Because a very close friend of the family was doing the mass, and he’s only here once every 2-3 years, since he’s a missionary in Canada.. got home around 7, crashed til 9, went to church, ate, crashed from 1-8, went to bed around 10:30 :haha:
Dude, the system in the loft is SO ing loud even with my plugs…. it scares me sometimes.

Yes the system is loud......but much improvement from the the last one. They push that thing to the limit......I could have sworn I seen smoke coming from the speakers right before we left.:eek: |

| It was my first time making it out to the loft and I was definitely impressed. I was expecting something much much different. I wasn't familiar with any of the guys playing, but both guys who were on when I was there did well. Good seeing Big Mike and and Lunasea. I know I met some others but I was less than sober and am drawing a blank. I'll definitely be making it out there again in the future. |

I had a good time until a longer period of (what I found to be) boring music killed my party mood. I was so happy that I'd brought my new ear plugs, although I ofcourse managed to pull them out next to a speaker in order to speak to someone at some time - a n00b mistake.:eek: So thanks for campaigning me into buying them Daniela.:)
I think I met a fair amount of TAs: Sam, Nina, Brianna, Brian, and Daniela, but in fact the place could have been crawling with TAs without me knowing.
Sam, you were really funny, although I don't know if it was on purpose: This chick in the wheelchair was explaining something terribly complex and spacey (involving sunrises, silver, and photography) and right at the moment were one of us were clearly expected to nod and say something, you nodded with this expression of sudden enlightenment on your face and said: "I know this track!" I could barely contain myself. You then said "I'm going to get drunk", and in three hours flat you were unconscious. Admirable efficiency.:)
And Nina, it was a great pleasure to meet you (and your friend). There's something about Scandinavian computer scientists, I think. ;) |
