if you went to a club in NYC during the late 80s, early 90s, drinking was the big form of intoxication and there were constantly fights in the clubs. if you bumped into someone as you walked around there was a good chance they would throw a punch at you. everyone had beer muscles.

now that extacy is the drug of choice in the clubs it is a joy going to clubs in NYC. some bumps into you and they could be a meathead guido with no shirt on and they will stop you, apologize and ask if everything is okay.

i'll take the latter anyday.

its a bit unnerving though that they are only nice because of the drugs they are taking. i hate going out to clubs where everyone is drunk because even if the music is good, there is a dark vibe...that and they just look like fools
the solution? make like me and dont do anything...bit boring sometimes but you get a hell of a laugh out of watchin fools trip over themselves or dancing like pogo-sticks

weed is not as safe as the people who are advocating it above alcohol/e/other class A drugs.

The thing with weed is that long term effects may well affect one's mentality. And once that is ed up...it can't be cured. Schizophrenia is the main concern here. There is no concrete proof, but there is lots of things that indicate causation after lots of cannabis use.

After all, there are no cures for any neurological disorders, but damage from alcohol can be treated well, livers recover or get transplanted, etc etc. you can't replace brains lol.

I'm not dissing alcohol, i like to get smashed as well. and yes i know alcohol can affect brain cells but only in stupid amounts and if used constantly.

And like the other guy said, you lose brain cells by bumping into things.

and after the age of 21 (or is it 25) your brain stops making new neurons and starts to degenerate.

I studied physiology and pharmacology as a degree so i know pretty much everything that goes on inside your head when you take something. E has the worse rep ever (and wrongfully so) and cannabis seems to be seen as harmless, but is ALSO another one of those POTENTIAL health timebombs.

dont take my quote out of context.

here is the quote...

drugs arent dangerous. the people who use them can be.

and i am talking about alcohol, pot, e, ....

when you get into drugs like heroin, meth, etc...thats a different ballgame.

but i am sick of hearing naive idiots talking about pot and how bad it is. meanwhile they get faced drinking a half a bottle of jack and puke all night in the bathroom.

never seen me do that with too much pot.

drink too much and you get sick, cause fights, dribve drunk, and overall make BAD life decisions..smoke too much and you may fall asleep or keep to yourself.

ban alcohol, legalize weed.

I didn't take your quote out of context. You did in fact state "Drugs aren't dangerous" and that was your intended meaning. You think it is more the person who uses the drug than the drug itself thats the problem. To an extent you are correct, but if you think drugs aren't dangerous then you are the one who is naive.

couldn't you also make the argument then that alcohol isn't dangerous, just the people who consume it are?

Before I tried MDMA, I did a bit of online reading, and one site that I found useful is http://www.mdma.net/

Even BBC has reported contrasting studies, there is no CONCRETE studies to show that MDMA is responsible for destroying neurons in MODERATE users.

The main reason that such drugs have been banned by govts is because of it's addictive nature and a possible social stigma.
