i'm afraid of waking up screaming and the neighbors thinking i'm in serious danger. back at my old house, this actually happened twice. It makes me so frustrated that the problems keep piling up. first socialphobia, depression and now this? |

damn .. beat me to it .. :haha: ..
but seriously .. i don't think it's something in your life RIGHT NOW that's affecting this, but something you have feared when you were a child, but never was able to release the daemons, so they're coming back to haunt your life .. you have to exercise these demons, and rid of them ..
could be anything .. something you experienced in your past life ?? something you feared, such as your parents or a bully ?? the fear of life coming to you ?? |

Were they nightmares or were you actually awake? What you have sounds alot like sleep paralysis. You wake up paralyzed, feeling often quite terrified. Do you feel a pressure on your chest when it happends? That would also be a common symptom. Hearing things is a frequent occurance when you're under alot of fatigue. I'm no psychiatrist, but what you have sounds alot like a sleep disorder to me. |

ehh, go see a sleep therapist. sounds like some sleep problems. And the sooner you go the easier it is to cure ;)
good luck. |

on some things a bit more serious. i just called to schedule an appointment with my medical doctor as well as my medication doctor.
I see things, hear things and i'm starting to feel things on my both like someone is grabbing it (neck and arms). I have had nightmares for the past week of waking up without being able to move. even my eyelids are stuck in their position. and i just threw up my food with no reason at all.
I was diagnosed with manic depression 3 years ago and i fear that there is even more crap to deal with with whatever this is
i quit my last job as a cashier because of my severe depression and went to the hospital. As soon as i got out, i got a job as a network admin in a new house. i don't think it's related to my depression at all, but i guess thats for my doctor to analyze
bad times |
Good luck man...I mean this sincerely...if you are diagnosed with the disease I severely recommend you continue taking the meds. Don't believe a word of what Tom Cruise says about psychiatry and that "drugs are useless and not needed". Honestly, there's no cure for schizophrenia but medication is the only thing that will stabilize you. Majority of patients who are determined to stop their medication often have a relapse and go further down the abyss... |

hehehe
I'm pretty sure i'm awake when i feel i'm in sleep paralysis. I can feel my both twitching and the sweat on my face. My doctor might recommend a sleep therapist, but still, i have no idea what is causing my hallucinations. I've never really been traumatized by anything. If anything, i've had a better life than most of the people i know except for my case of depressoin |

schizophrenia seems to be the popular call when someone is feeling different .. of course .. .. i say the doc should provide you some ritalin, and if you see "pink christina aguilera monsters", those are just side effects .. :stongue: :stongue:

Happens to me all the time dude. All the time. I have had sleeping disorders all my life though. Started out as sleep walking and progressed into what are called, Night Terrors. I grew out of them and now I get what you are describing. Although, that is something more common with people then you think. A lot of people either dont talk about it or admit they get it.
But yeah, you think you are waking up when in reality you arent. You can see everything around you but can't move at all. If you try to move it is extremely slow but you actually arent moving at all. Sometimes you see things and hear things. And a lot of times you will feel like there is a presence in the room with you. Most cases, an evil presence. I had one a month or so ago where I was laying on my couch, woke up facing towards my hallway and heard little kids laughing.
What I found to work well when these things happen is to hold your breath. Your body will eventually wake up for you to get air but a lot of times you wake up extremely exhausted. And fall back asleep only to have the same thing occur. I know its annoying and scary but dont worry. You will be ok. |

Do you do drugs?
If all you hear is unintelligible noises, it's probably just fatigue, resulting from your not resting properly. If it's like clear voices telling you things, then it may be something else. |

Yep. I've never experienced it myself, but I've known many people who had sleep paralysis. |
