on some things a bit more serious. i just called to schedule an appointment with my medical doctor as well as my medication doctor.
I see things, hear things and i'm starting to feel things on my both like someone is grabbing it (neck and arms). I have had nightmares for the past week of waking up without being able to move. even my eyelids are stuck in their position. and i just threw up my food with no reason at all.
I was diagnosed with manic depression 3 years ago and i fear that there is even more crap to deal with with whatever this is

i quit my last job as a cashier because of my severe depression and went to the hospital. As soon as i got out, i got a job as a network admin in a new house. i don't think it's related to my depression at all, but i guess thats for my doctor to analyze

bad times

Good luck if you have it.

I thought schitzo was out and multiple personalities were in.

sounds liek anxiety or some other thing. Its definitely not schizophrenia. While you might have auditory hallucinations, visual ones are very very rare.

and the not moving thing when you wake up is perfectly normal when waking suddenly in REM sleep.

so stop crying you hypocondriac

^they can't really prove if a person really has multiple personalities or not. i think they call it dissociative identity disorder

i thought schizophrenia was to the point where there you acted like "another person" inside your body .. so therefore you had two "real" personalities inside one body .. :conf: :conf: ...

i may be wrong ..

but from what you described, sounds like severe mental depression, where your body wants to get out of your body ...

schizophrenia seems to be the popular call when someone is feeling different .. of course .. .. i say the doc should provide you some ritalin, and if you see "pink christina aguilera monsters", those are just side effects .. :stongue: :stongue:

whoops never mind .. you're feeling it outside, instead of inside your body ..

the above is correct, what the others said ..
once again, i am wrong ..

but is it normal to wake up like 5 times in the same night paralyzed?
i'm afraid of waking up screaming and the neighbors thinking i'm in serious danger. back at my old house, this actually happened twice. It makes me so frustrated that the problems keep piling up. first socialphobia, depression and now this?

I should have just googled rather than asking

Recently considered rare and mysterious psychiatric curiosities, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) (previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder-MPD) and other Dissociative Disorders are now understood to be fairly common effects of severe trauma in early childhood, most typically extreme, repeated physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse.

These patients were afflicted not by a disease but by an idea. With this understanding, Charcot and Babinski devised a two-stage treatment consisting of isolation and counter suggestion.

The DID patient is a single person who experiences himself/herself as having separate parts of the mind that function with some autonomy. The patient is not a collection of separate people sharing the same body. The terms personality and alter (short for alternate personality) refer to dissociated parts of the mind that alternately influence behavior in DID patients. Some clinicians prefer terms such as disaggregate self state, part of the mind, or part of the self.

i guess it's not schitz. but i mean, could it be some variation of a severe paranoia with hallucinations? I mean, right now i'm afraid to walk to my bed and sleep cus i fear i'll see something on the way that is going to scare the out of me.
but ya, i'm going now. report on tomorrow
