| i dont really tend to get pissed. what kind of pisses me off is when people categorize all EDM as "techno music". People like that deserve a bat to the head and then i stop and realize that they are just have no musical knowledge whatsoever, and I dont mean only EDM. |

Totally agree with you on that, just saying that it used to plague the charts and mtv channels / radio and now it doesnt :D
And all we get now in the way of dance on radio / tv is that annoying crazy frog lol. Even judge jules show had 30 odd min mash up of rnb tunes - whats gone wrong with the younger generation?
Maybe its a good thing as it leaves me to enjoy trance/prog tunes without hearing them being rinsed to death on local radio like. |

No, but i get slightly annoyed at people who diss electronic music all-together as something talentless, emotionless and incomprehensible. Yes, there's almost an infinite amount of electronic music, but there's some odd creative, brilliant stuff amongst it, you know. Oh well, ignorance. |

It's not the dissing of trance that is annoying, it's the blatant ignorance that is often behind it.
If someone has taken a reasonable sample of the range of the genre, then makes a reasoned argument as to why trance sucks, then fine. The fact is, most people don't even know what trance is, and they come out with comments like "it takes no talent to make" or "it all sounds the same" or "it's just a load of bleepy noises, where are the guitars?"
It's gay.
As for the guy in another post who said some emo bird was dissing it, then ROFLMAO. Emo has such a fraudulent, forced input of emotion, it's just whiney and it's not genuine. It's terrible. |
