Do you get annoyed at people who dis trance music?

reet i love trance with all my heart and i wondered if anyone gets annoyed with people who call trance even though they havent heard Proper trance before and class trance as Dj Sammy etc as trance
Now it really does my nut in when people dis it when they have never had the chance to listen to what its really all about
this might be me alone i wonder if any of you lot feel the same way

personally I don't hear too many people dis trance because either they don't even know who DJ Sammy is (he's so l8 90s ne way:p) or they love the stuff. No one around here (portland, or, usa) is really exposed to it unless they want to be. which is a bit refreshing in a way. |

Here in Holland Tiësto is of course a celebrity which almost everyone knows. But they know him for his productions, like "Traffic" and "Flight 643". These tracks were in the TOP 40 along with 50 cent etc.
So people kind of just judge Tiësto by his productions (--> the radio edits they see on MTV with all of the build-up taken out) and they judge trance by the that's on the TV.
I think most kids here think that all electronic music (Eric Prydz, etc.) is trance... :sadgreen: |

yeh it does a bit, you get people who say "it all sounds the same"
or you get the people that buy those compilations like clubland 7, and they think its good trance :rolleyes: |

heh, wow.. we live in completely differen't worlds.
most people here don't even know who tiesto is. it may have been a vague name that people have in their subconsious associated with dance music here, but surely he is not a celebrity that everyone knows. I think I'd prefer to live in a place that more people have heard of tiesto then Anna Nicole Smith. :( |

And he's a quite regular guest in talkshows and stuff. |
