this would be an good album if it was just someguy.
but armin? OMG!! wuts going on? this is not wut i was expecting after 2 years. i was listening to 76 yesterday all day and was just amazed by his sound, and now listening to this its a little depressing.
nothing seems uplifting enough. i was waiting for a song like precious or sunburn. i wouldnt imagine any of these new tracks as a club hit that gets the dance floor nuts. these new tracks seem like good productions that are missing armins touch.
wheres this music style going?
im hoping for ferry corsten to come back with something better than right of way. |

Don't misunderstand me, Armin has always been one of my favourite djs, it's just that this album really does not sound like him and that he is able to do much better.
This album has NOTHING or let's say very little to do with trance!
But that does not change the positive opinion I have of Armin. |

this album is one of the worst i've heard in a while. nothing really stands out. at least on other albums by big-time DJ's (aka Reflections, Bunkka, Just Be) you have at least one track that isn't too bad compared to the rest of the album.
this one just drops the ball and not in a good way. :whip: :whip: :whip:
skip this one, save your money and buy something worthwhile like Involver. |

Armin van Buuren ft. Gabriel & Dresden - Zocalo
This piece started to grow on me. Beautiful. 9/10 ( instrumentals )
Armin Van Buuren Feat. Nadia Ali - Who Is Watching 9/10 ( Vocal )
Great productions by Armin.
As a whole the album is 5/10. I honestly expected more. He is one of the most uplifting talents out there.
Cheers. |

after listening to this album a few times, this is the best explanation i can give.
production overall is good.
the difference is the style. in a way, u can debate that hes changed alot, he doesnt sound like before, he has some tiesto scams. but on the other hand, its normal as music evolves, and the reason music evolves is because of the artists creating it.
overall, its produced well. if u dont look at it the way that armin has produced it, its enjoyable.
my honest opinion about this though is: this is overall a good album, but not like 76.
IMO, to be a great album, this album had to be 2 CD, and this album shouldve been the CD2. CD1 should have had more uplifting music.
i still like the guy, hes still talented. if i would give him suggestion, i would just tell him not to sound like tiesto and be yourself. i still think this is a better album overall comparing to tiestos just be(not much of a fan of tiesto).
shivers is obviously a hit music created for the charts, u might bag on him for doing such a bad thing, but i understand the business and so should u. in order to make the music mainstream in the world, they have to do things like this. maybe fans in the US still like trance as underground, but u gotta remember that the record companies and the artists are trying their best to dominate trance music in this country and worldwide.
armin still stands as my fave dj for now. |
