Im a bit skeptikal of this trade, and no its not just because my fave player was traded away.
I mean seriously guys dont you think Antoine Walker is a bit overated? First off watching his game is grueling, he just looks nasty out on the court, and I dont mean that in a good way.
His shooting scares me, he s not a great defender..he s had personal issues..
the only good i see in this is that we get one more big body who could score at most 15-20 points a game.

I like Posey, he will be what he is, a good 6th man.

J. Williams :wtf: i almost completely forgot about this guy, He was cool to watch in Sacramento, but in Memphis I lost track of him.Is he still the same erratic guy?

One other thing, losing Eddie Jones we lost a great defender and a great guy, and really got no one to replace him at that.

well anyways lets see how this turns out, as of the last 2 weeks I thought we were just getting Walker and maybe williams, this deal suprised the hell out of me with the amount players in it.
Riley is one badass GM , while i may be worried about these players he got, I think im sure what Rileys doin.

I always thought of Walker as a chucker, which is pretty much what he is. His FG % is usually pretty awful. But Eddie Jones was done in my opinion from watching the playoffs. I thought he was a great player in LA but that was then. Walker definitely adds more punch and girth down low. He was playing quite well for Boston once Hotlanta traded him, he rejuvanated them a bit.

J Will, White Chocolate, has always been on my crap list. He definitely has him moments and can make lots of tricky passes but the dude couldn't hit the broad side of a barn most days, commits to many TO's for a point guard, and is lazy most times on D. I never understood why Jerry West wanted him. You haven't heard much from him because he's wasn't that good. He fits into more run and gun teams, not the pound it into Shaq and Wade slash and cut team. Walker though fits in pretty well I think since he can chuck it while Snack is getting doubled and Wade is slashing.

a lot of people are talking about how miami benefited from the trade and everything ..

i think they really lost two good guys (jones and rasaul butler), and gained antoine walker (who surely wouldn't be happy if he is noted as their 6th man .. remember why he left dallas .. it wasn't because of money, but because he didn't want to be the role as the 6th man ..), jason williams ( an iffy guy to me .. not a dependable guy to go to, but surely miami wouldn't come to a situation where they would depend on him for points .. a good 3 point shooter, but a horrible decision maker )

i do like james posey, and what he brings to miami ..

At least we got Shaq for 5 more years. :D

antoine won't be the 6th man. he'll start at the 3 spot with posey backing him up. i hope they keep damon jones. he's a great point guard and my bucks got f'd by letting him go to miami. j williams is a joke.

in other nba news (outside trades) ....

tony parker and hottie girlfriend eva longoria got into a little spiff outside an l.a. nightclub.. news has it that the bouncer didnt think eva longoria was "celebrity" enough to cut in front of 100 people waiting to get into the club .. so the bouncer tells them to wait in line like the rest of the peeps ..

well .. eva gets into a hissy fit about everything, while tony stands beside her saying nothing .. i guess we all know who wears the "pants in this relationship" .. :wtf: :happy2:

news just in ..

shareef apparently fails his physical with the nets, and the nets cancel the whole offer with the blazers ..

meanwhile while all of this is happening, nets management has signed marc jackson (philly) to a deal .. not a bad backup option now that shareef wil not be joining the nets.

and Allan Houston ISN'T cut by the Knicks under the Allan Houston rule

why am I not surprised the owner (James Dolan) was the reason why the Knicks kept Houston
