Just got back....holy f'in HARD IN UR FACE TRANCE!!!

highlight of the night: being on the patio with Ola and her friend Jake...recognizing the beat from Bang Bang and making a bee line right inside right back to the dance floor to make it in time for the drop.....
my feet feel great! I love those shoes!!! More to come...now time for sleep/work
edit: the strings from my shoes BRUISED my feet from dancin in them so long! I have string bruises across my feet! |

after Trancegrooves left .. i chilled with some other people until 6am .. then they left .. and they i wound up stayin till 7am to finish off Mark Olivers set :) ... wow ! :)
BOth Dj's were on fire tonight ! im sooo glad i didnt miss this one!!!
Glad to finally meet some of you TA's :) P.S.. sorry if i talked alot .. just trying to get to know ya'll :P

great night...got there sometime before midnight and, as expected, Guv wasn't rammed thanks largely to WEMF and the last Hulla party...although it did eventually fill up. Plenty of room to dance up front...we were planted by the left speaker for most of the night...met Finary...and the only TA I saw was Tordan out on the patio during my one 10 min. break from the dancefloor between midnight and sometime after 6:30am...strange to walk through that place and not see a bunch of familiar faces!
Altough he didn't quite kick my ass in the same way he did the previous two times I heard him last year in KH and then in Guv, Marco V was still on...especially judging by the crowd reactions. I'm terrible ID'ing tracks at a club, but a few particularly fun tracks I can remember off-hand were mixes of:
Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang
Eurythemics - Sweet Dreams
New Order - Blue Monday
Mark Oliver was solid to open, as usual, but particularly good after Marco V's set...all over the place...really "rockish" at the end...very fun. I was glad to hear PVD's The Other Side on the big sound system...not the greatest mix though...but what a major tune. He dropped some ridiculously long mix of Killers - Somebody Told Me too.
Crowd was unusually cool for Guv...minus the usual suspects sitting on the ground, often in the middle of the dancefloor :rolleyes:, or wandering aimlessly...I was otherwise pleasantly surprised by that. Some girl kept coming over to myself and one of my friends and kissing us on the cheek and wanting to be kissed back...interesting...I'm not sure if the big guy she was with was her bf...but he seemed to realize it was harmless and introduced himself, lol.
and my apologies again to one of the bouncers who was at the washroom door...as I walked out, I accidentally bumped him just as he had a redbull at his mouth and made him spill some down his shirt...I *quickly* said sorry and all was well. oops.
looking forward to Above & Beyond in two weeks :) but now it's time to sleep... |

Interesting night... both before and after I got into The Guvernment Nightclub.
I lost all my friends on the TTC because I had to take a huge leak and got off early. Then I got lost trying gettng to union but metup with them again by chance inside Guv less than 2 hours later! I'm a TTC noob. I'm used to driving to DT.
When I got into Guv at 2:00 AM the night was pretty damn good! Marco V tore that dance floor a new hole. It was exactly what I like hearing: Hard, fast paced, relentless dirty sounds. HELL YEAH! Marco V in my opinion is a very consistent DJ and doesn't disapoint.
Also enjoyed The Drink for a bit before heading back to mainroom madness where Mark Oliver dropped Dumonde's killer mix of Blue Monday. Danced for awhile down there before heading off at about 6:30 AM.
Great night, too bad it was a bit short ;) Props to my 4 friends who tagged along & the TAs I metup with (Tordan & firestarter). |

Surprisingly, I actually attended this party, at least for a short while. From what I saw and heard, marco v was playiong pretty hard, and not badly considering I'm not a fan of his. The guv was 'comfortably crowded', and it didn't seem like too bad of a party. A little lacking in the female dept, but otherwise solid.
Did anyone check out the drink? Wow, that was some serious music being played up there, even for an extremely thin but enthusiastic crowd.
I'd spent the previous 4 hours of the night upstairs at the skybar, and after myself and a friend got sick of the 'people watchers' I decided to give the guy a glimpse of the clubbing experience I've known for years. It would be an understatement to say he was impressed with the music and the vibe....I may have another convert on my hands. |

ROFL......i love just strolling along and than all of a sudden falling right flat on my face because some crackpot who think's he's hiding from aliens is crunched up in a ball on the floor......and then he looks at me as if i should have seen him........please.......way too funny tho! |

OMG.. I came across one of these guys too... was he crouched by the stairs to go out to the patio?? When I fell over him he just looked up at me as if I was the one on crack for not seeing him as he is all dressed in black curled up on the floor... WTF is wrong with ppl?? don't come out to clubs if you get that way please.. :p |
