REVIEW: Marco V @ Guvernment (pg. 3)

^^ Actually, Mark tried three times to get a moment of silence. The first time the morons started chanting "one more, one more.." Same deal with the second. Many were clapping and whistling... I was thinking how ed are these people that they don't even understand. On the last attemp, Mark visibly pissed off, asked the people who couldn't understand or had no respect so leave the building. It was a bit quieter that time but the crack heads... well, they continued being crack heads. booooo!!
OK... now for my review. I got there after 2am and Marco V had already kicked into high gear by then. Hard trance... how soothing it is to my ears. :) I didn't run into TAs for almost an hour because I was either dancing near the bar or popping out the patio for a quick smoke. Finally ran into Spyder & tha_broad who then led me to other TAs on the patio. Marco V never disappoints... I can't rememver how many times I've seen him but I do remember not being disappointed even once.
Oh yeah, that moron with the British flag insisted that Marco was from UK simply because he's associated with Godskitchen. I was trying to explain that Marco is Dutch but the dood was too cracked out to care. I gave up. LOL!
I was hoping Marco would play longer but he was off the decks just after 4am and MO took over. As Shaya was leaving he mentioned something about MO & breaks. I didn't did know what he meant until 5am came around and MO started laying down some insane trancy breaks tracks. WOW!! :eyespop: I'm not really a fan of breaks but this was good! Before that his set was proggy and after the breaks it was kinda like trancy rock music. MO is too talented... we're lucky to have him. The last part of his set consisted of some awesome trance tunes. Good stuff!!
The guv wasn't too packed but it was back to being a sausage-fest. What else is new? :) Vibe was off the hook though.. everyone was havin a blast. Big up to all the TAs I ran into throughout the night. Spyder, tha_broad, Fir3start3r, magikb, goodnet, MarkT, truetothecrew (sp?) and Shaya. iLLnaDa, TranceGrooves & Gek0 (glad you came out) it was nice meeting you guys! Sorry, if I missed anyone.
Next party.. Above & Beyond!!

Spoke with marco after his set.. says hell be back in December. Told him he kicks tiesto's ass.. and he just shrugged and smiled hahhahahah..

Marco V was awesome last night.
Showed up around 11 and the place was pretty empty.
Even by 12 there was plenty of room on the main room floor.
I was a little worried that it might be a sparse crowd, but by 12:30 the place was rocking full, not over crowded.
Marco V dropped a good set, Liked Bang bang.
I was hoping for the usual Marco V sound where he would play Automaunal or Things looped and relooped.
Never the less a great night.
Mark Oliver closed off well a usual, little more Top 40 stuff near the end.
Darn my feet are sore from dancing all night, but I have the day to recover. |
