You mean tranceaddicts, or just the masses of sketchy ravers? I didn't notice any really odd behaviour from the former (the sketchy ravers on the other hand, are another story).

Here here... bigup the TOTA garbage dump!!

...but in all fairness, we actually did clean that up later on and kept the area relatively clean until the time we left. So it wasn't *TA* garbage that was left. :p |

Haha...oh RJ all bundled up. He's hilarious. I remember we were sitting there sometime in the morning and he was like "Next year I'm bringing my snow mobile suit." Just out of nowhere...and I was like "WHAT?" and he goes "...you know, b/c it's cold...you'll all be freezing, and I'll be sweating...maybe I'll rent it out for 10 minutes at a time."
Ahhh love that guy! |

Wow, what an awesome weekend.
First off I have to give major thanks to girllovingtvibe and MaxTO, without whom I wouldn't have made it to WEMF this year.
^^^ :p we managed to miss Hockley, then when asking for directions at a gas station we were told that we were much further south than we really were :whip:
still managed to get there and inside before the big crowds hit.. found the Paradigm/TA campsite and started setting up camp.. at this point i realized that Max is Commander Camping!! He'd thought of everything, as soon as the tents were up he was getting the charcoal grill burning :) grilled so much meat we had to share.. Damn i should've gotten a pic of Max's stove, it looked like he was setting up a satellite relay or something putting this thing together :D lol
hung around the Paradigm tent while we were cooking, took some pics of the paradigm dj's spinning, then headed into the main stage area and checked out Drag N Fly and Peter Ivals.. Graham and I were lucky we headed in when we did, managed to miss the few minutes of severe downpour during the short shower that hit us friday.. trip back to catch SgtFoo spinning at the Paradigm tent (d00d thanks for the sunblock!) and chill out a bit, took a bit of a wander with Penny to take some pics.. but i couldn't stay away from the main stage for long as up next was Deko-ze and then Hatiras - IMO these guys were the best shows on friday night.. spent much of their sets dancing. Deko-ze, man this guy has so much energy when he spins, always gets me pumped up :D Hatiras dropped a dirty mix of Ferry Corsten - Rock your Body Rock that just ruined me.. The rest of the night is kinda a blur of moving between the Paradigm tent outside and the main stage.. although AP had the trippiest lighting of friday night..
managed to fall asleep around 7:30 til 9:30..
saturday consisted of chilling outside in the sun speckled with some visits to the new talent stage. saw the dj at the new talent stage from 1-2.. was listed as Art Official, but I heard it was actually LFO.. anybody know for sure?? cuz this guy was sick!! crazy electro-breaks, scratching and sh!t.. very funky and catchy :D the next act was a team of dj's.. forget their name, very dirty breaks.. had some fun dancing to that too..
then the killer.. sunburn on the backs of the legs.. had to chill out on the dancing front for a while.. thanks to MissK, Jill, and DigiNut for various ointments! :D again the evening turned into staying inside for a while, then chilling outside till I got too cold, and back in again.. I thought Donald Glaude & Jelo played a great set.. lots of dirty beats, pretty hard but not overly so.. really had the room moving.. RITM was a crazy show.. Bunny is psycho :) took tons of pics during their show, but after the 4th costume change i think, the music just got waaaay too hard for me and I had to take off. more chillin during the evening, until about 6:30 when i crashed for a couple hours.. woke up in the morning and basically spent the time scurrying around getting ready to leave.. wish i coulda heard more of the tunes Ray and RJ were spinning when we left.. good sh!t!
trip back was much quicker than the trip up.. surprise lol
random thoughts
- the guys at the chip truck near our camping area had the coolest dog!
- watching tents get blown down, tripping over tent wire..
- anyone else see the guy with the mohawk and like "stilts"??
- played hacky-sack.. whoa nostalgia! :)
- bullhorns should be banned
- taking pictures of Nat taking pictures.. lol
- everyone took a picture of the WEMFort Zone sign
- i forgot to sign the TA banner
- we should do this more often!!
massive respect to all of you who came out and made the weekend awesome.. loving the smilin' faces and good attitude. cheers folks. |

| Orangeville was the most functional WEMF venue to date. Superior camping areas, large and loud stages, plentiful and proper vendors and a crowd that kept it together fairly well (in relative terms). |

It was Walter Rosati that dropped that mix. He ended switching with Josh the funky one in set times. Walter played from 11:30 till 1:00 till Astral Projection came on since Josh was a no show till later in the night. I asked Walter what mix it was and he didnt know since it was some white label. Sick mix! |
