injuries/accidents (pg. 6)

Age 7 .... fell off the roof and was clinicaly dead for like 7 minutes.
Age 11 ... got shot on the left foot in a drive by shooting by some gang d00ds on my way home from school.
Age 17 ... broken right arm while trying to impress the cheerleader during highschool football practise.
Age 25 ... was just standing on the side of the road talking to my friend and suddenly got hit by a truck that was parked on the curb. A moving van coming around the corner lost control and hit the truck and truck hit me. Torn ligaments and stuff like that. |

When I was 3 I was run over by a car, thankfully only on one leg. I was in the hospital for 6 months, but my leg is perfect now.
When I was 4 my next door neighbour who was a year older than me accidtently skimmed my ear with a golf club and I had to get skitches.
Since then, besides falling down all the time, I have had pretty good luck. *knocks on wood* |

Age 4 - Appearantly I got interested in a coffee cup so I decided to pull the cover on the table, and got pretty bad burns on my right arm when the coffee spilled out on me, I remember the bubbling eeek, but no pain
Age 6 - I somehow managed to drink contaminated water, went to hospital all I remember is drinking some grey
Age 18 - had a pretty bad accident raptured my splean, at the hospital no one beleived me and thought I was o/d'ng on drugs, so they left me there, I was internally bleeding from 11 pm to about 2 pm next day, they told me I had 30 min to live before a doctor decided to take interest in me, gotta nice scar on my stomach to remember this by ha ha, ironically I was high after the operation they sure gave me a lot of morphine and tylenols 3's, Now i can eat them like candys no effect on me
Age 19 - I was bugging a friend of mine who was hitting on my sister, so I kicked him in the butt as he was running away I slipped and my foot bent weirdly, no pain, so I ignored it, so I went over to my gf(at the time) all of a sudden my foot start to hurt to a point where I can't move my body, worst pain I ever felt to this day, 4 hours later I was ok to move.
Last year i decided to try skateboarding, and there were some ladies watching so I decided to show off a bit, went on a huge hill on high park and decided to go down the path, went once down lost control fell on the grass, about the third time I finally started going down, and then I see a stick in the way, I try to go around it but I lose control to a point where I can't turn on to the grass and I did a 360 falling on my hands first. I get up I feel fine, I look at my hands and there is blood comming out of them, So I walk up back up layed down on the grass to take a breather I lay down in the sun for 30 min, then it's time to go, ask I get up I faint (sun stroke whatever it's called) Arek and Ziggy had to help me to the first aid place, we went in and they had no first aid kit, I was so angry lol, I can't remember what I cursed at them ha ha. Anyways I managed to crape side of my hip, me knee, and my right bum, ripped my jeans while at it, sprained both my rists, had problems moving my fingers, it was pure laughs though :) my fav accident of all |

When I was younger, maybe kindergarten, I jumped off of my tree-house/fort in my backyard and sprained my wrist -- my left wrist too, which really sucked since I was/am left handed.
I REFUSED to conform and learn to use my right hand -- Eff that business! ;) |

wow reading some of these mine are nothing to compare ...
age 2-3 ran into the corner of a desk and hit my eye still have the scar but for the life of me can never remember which eye it is... unless i look in the mirror.
age 7 riding my bike i crashed and supposedly lost consciousness for 15 min..
gr 1 + 3 i fell flat on my chin first time didnt get stitches but second time i had too
gr 11 was skiing and fell 3 meters down breaking my arm... didn’t go to hospital till 3 weeks later docs said i should of had a screw put in but they said it was too late so now my arm is deformed.. not noticeable but docs and i can tell the diff

| Well since people are listing ALL their injuries...Aside from my back injury, when I was 7 or 8 years old, I was playing with the neighbours dog when it bit me in the face.Luckily it missed my right eye & I only had 2 stitches.The same neighbour had 3 dogs and and several years later another one of their dogs bit me in the arm when I was playing Batminton with my friend.Their was no puncture but still ing hurt.So to this day I am scared less & hate big dogs:nervous: |

LOL!!! We can still see the effects of Sly_Guy's injuries as it takes him so long to remember each story! :p
And Digi, I coulda sworn that I caused the swelling to increase by scratching the bite!! Doesn't it somehow shift that inside further around under your skin? I'm no doctor but I guess that's what Dr. Mom always told me... |

well, I think Dr. Mom is right! Scratching mosquito bites just aggrivates the skin, and instead of feeling better, it will just get more itchy and swollen! :whip:
So if you get bitten, instead of scratching it, put lemon juice or something acidic on it. It will sooth your skin and you won't feel like scratching anymore!

Tore My MCL one summer, did the ACL the next (same knee), forced to sit soccer a year. (n crutches after surgury for 2 months in the dead of winter)
Also went head first into a chicken wire fence when I was 8 or so, left a nice little hexigon mark in my head.
Tis honestly about it.
