Oh my ing God lordy lordy...two words:
GOD MUSIC
What a night. My ears were blessed. This was the highlight of my weekend, NAY summer!!!! This was the best party I've been to so far this summer...this was right up there with D2 and US7...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
DuMonde are the nicest duo...so friendly and interactive with their fans. This weekend was filled with super nice DJs...first Cor and Mark from Viva and now JamX and DeLeon...more on the highlights later!
One of the most important things tonight is I totally ed up the plans I made with TranceGrooves, walkindude, and Stingray...
SO SORRY BOYS Don't be hatin'! :( We were supposed to be AT the club at midnight, but I pulled a ing n00blar move and slept through my alarm clock and WOKE UP at midnight! :( Meanwhile, I've got text msgs and voicemail up the wazoo!!! So because of me, we delayed entry to the club by one more hour :( I'm sooooooooooooooooo sorry boys...I gave Cam a free kick in my ass; Tyler and Haris you guys have a raincheck! ;) But when we finally got in...WOW...
DjFACKINbruuen...you missed the track of my life...
NEVER LOOK BACK
This was the biggest, most hugest highlight I could ever imagine so far this YEAR. Sure, Danny T was my favorite night this YEAR, and D2 and US7 kicked my ass into the ground, but no single moment in my young grasshopper EDM partying life comes even CLOSE to how I felt when said track came on. I want absoinglutely ballistic. I didn't even know how to dance because I was still in shock that I was hearing my all-time fave track LIVE by the people who CREATED it and on the EVIL sound system at Republik. I want to keep talking about that moment for 10 more paragraphs, describing each and every thought in my head as I heard it because I can remember EVERYTHING...who I saw, what expressions they had, how I was dancing each second...but let's move on...
Highlight #2 - MEETING JAMX AND DELEON and TELLING THEM WHAT NEVER LOOK BACK DID TO ME!!!! LOL!!! :D I explained to them how this was one of the tracks that totally changed my taste for music and also kept me inspired and motivated when I listened to it while doing something important in my life...driving, studying, working, exercising...this will be a lifetime track for me...
JamX told me that there is always one track that will always stick with you and it's so meaningful that it could even bring a tear to your eye...LOL at how we had that THREAD dedicated to this feeling and JAMX is DESCRIBING THAT!!! I was so pleased. Both him and DeLeon were sincerely thanking me for my words and then proceeded to take a picture with me which my bestest buddy in the whole wide world TrickDaddE will soon hook me up with!!!! :D
I will continue to talk about those two as I remember more...
Continuing with the music, because I got there late I only heard a bit of Goldfinger. I'm so upset I missed Dennis and Walter...I will never forget the awesome time I had at Rev in Waterloo a while ago when the two played head-to-head...next time my dears! :( Dennis, thanks again for all your help! ;)
I learned when I got there that Deko-Ze would be playing in another room and we didn't have access so I was a bit upset. Then, at 4:13 (to be exact), DuMonde finished (I wish they went longer but 2.75 hours was ample for me to feel the highest sense of elation while being sober that I have ever felt. NEVER LOOK BACK at Republik last night FELT BETTER THAN AN ORGASM PEOPLE....
Anyway, much to my surprise, it was announced the Deko-Ze was taking over!!!! I was SO HAPPY because I've never heard him before and hear only good things. I wanted to see him at WEMF but of course couldn't go...so I was really looking forward to it...
At first he started off with really aggressive house...not trancey at all IMO...it was a bit harsh all of a sudden and my elated ass took a seat for a couple of songs...until TIESTO - FLIGHT 643 WAS PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!
HOLY I first had a heart attack and then I started to flail my body around like I was possessed...From that point, I felt that Deko-Ze was playing dirty remixes of classic trance tracks!!! I WAS EFFIN *HEART*ing IT!!! He also played Rachel Starr - Till There Was You. THAT'S RIGHT CALE, HE PLAYED RACHEL STARR - TILL THERE WAS YOU. And a SICK ASS remix of it too!!! I was pounding like crazy to his beats. And I also stood and watched him for a bit while TrickDaddE and I were waiting to take a pic of the two of them...and this man is ELECTRIC. I now understand what you guys were all talking about with those pics of a shirtless pumped up black dude in several pictures from I believe System Soundbar in that thread dedicated to which DJ pumps you up the most. He was so friendly (welcoming Trick into his booth for the picture and smiling his face off) so I'm just really impressed with the accessibility and friendliness of these super stars.
Overall music was 11/10 for me as I heard the dream track of my life (only other live track moments that could ever compare to that would be hearing (in order:)
#1 Southern Sun dropped by that guy who remixed it ;) :p
#2 Ridgewalkers (feat. El) - Find played by AVB in the presence of Adrenalina ;)
#3 Above and Beyond - No One On Earth in the presence of Nikitha! ;)
#4 Moogwai - Viola played by Ferry
Hhaaaaaaahhhh. Feels so good to get every detail of the music off your chest. Now I can move on to the amazing people I met...
- Again, Haris, Cam, Tyler...sorry :( (walkindude, Stingray, TranceGrooves, respectively)
OH!!!! TYLER!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SCORING Marcel Woods - Advanced for me!!!! The ride down was so fackin awesome! :D LOL at what happened to that guy who thought he could overtake a cop while speeding 30 over the limit!!!! LOL!!!!
- first 2 people Tyler and I met when we walked in were Christina (tha_broad) and OMFG the queen of crazy, energetic, super pumped-up dance, OLA (SPYDER)!!!!! Girl you are the F-BOMB!!!! I enjoyed dancing with both of you hotties so MUCH!!!! Ola, you HAVE TO COME to Above and Beyond with Christina PLEASE!!! I need you there!!!! LOL at the dance session we had in the bathroom!!!! :p Stupid bouncer had to stop it :whip:
- I ALWAYS see samhouse and tully together at the parties and was finally properly introduced to them! Awesome to see you out there! :D
- Wow, Smuncky, I actually love seeing you at Viva (twice now) and again last night. You are a committed partier and it was always awesome to look around and seeing you constantly bust a move. I don't think you took a break for one second until you were done for the night...it was nice to meet you and your sister upstairs! :D LOL at the bouncer trying out the glowies!!! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! :haha:
- the muthafrickin POPE, Simon (SurrJRS) dude it's always a blast to listen to some classic God Music with you!!!! :D LOL at how many drinks you were consuming in such a short time frame just because last call was about to happen!!! Well done you animal! :p
- flec, another staple partier that can always be found at the big events...thank you for your kind words, bro! ;) :D
- Mr. Sean Cassidy (naesean3) dude do you remember how happy I was when you just in walk up to me and say "hi"!!!! I almost effin KISSED YOU!!!!! You rock da house man, and I appreciate your response to my request for you to provide me with some BRING IT UP BRING IT UPs this weekend!!!! Thanks for always signalling me to get off my fat ass and dance to Deko-Ze on the stage!!! ;) You didn't have to do that once Flight 643 came on, bro!!!!
- I *heart* seeing tatgirl at the club...it feels like the party has its *OFFICIAL* stamp of approval when you're there snapping photos! I can't wait to see your pics!!! ;)
- Del ALWAYS a pleasure to meet you!!!
- My main man for the night: Mark (TrickDaddE). You rocked this party hard with me tonight, man! It was so cool to dance with you and Valeria until we left at 6:30. That was uber cool ;) and thank you for taking the pic of DuMonde and me...that is getting framed. You and Valeria make a HAWT couple and I can't wait until seeing you two again at Above and Beyond. Valeria, bring your sister :p and tell her I say, Ya Tibia Lublu!!!!! :D :p Mark, don't forget my advice! ;) And Valeria, JOIN TA ALREADY!!!! Dos Vidanya!
- Another key TOTA that I met for the first time but it felt like we had been buddies for ages: CHRIS (NFC[wave]). DUDE you are HILARIOUS and you pumped me up so many times to dance HARDER. Again, I'm sorry for those TWO TIMES!!!! :p Please don't ban my towel! :(
- Kandaio didn't spend too much time with you, you DJ whore! Nay, booth bunny! :p j/k dude...it was cool of you to introduce me to DeLeon behind the bar, which led to one of the top memories ever recorded in my head. People, being sober to remember these moments in their detailed glorty and enjoying these meetings with DJs you love to the max (without being sketchy :p) is SO WORTH IT to drop drugs and alcohol for LIFE!!!!
:nervous:
- Transmotion <--holy he can dance
Was awesome to party it up with you proppa styles...can't believe this event was EVER a 50/50 for you! :p You were there, pumping your body till the bitter end. MUCHOS RESPECTO!!!! :p
- Also met niveole! Buddy, for some reason you look like a frickin ROCK STAR!!!! :toocool: You were dancing up a storm and it was always cool to walk by you and see a familiar face on the way to the bathroom every time. I can't remember whether I met MidnightClubber or Engine9 with you...there was that one guy with the white tshirt but I don't remember his name!
- the sweetest, prettiest girl walks up to me (damn, first Paula at Guv now this...being a TOTA is beginning to get to my head! :p) and I can't remember your TA name!!!! :( (and for that matter I didn't hear your real name cuz the music was so loud...was it Sarah? :() but I remember your friend, addikted2trance because she was on the roll call. It was awesome to party with both of you nice girls!!! Hope I see you next week at Above and Beyond! :D
- FINALLY got to meet Hardcore Trancer!!!! So cool to meet you, man, but it was too brief! Hopefully we can spend more time dancing and talking at the next party we're at! Nice to meet your sister, too! Both of you are so nice and friendly! :)
- Also got to meet Karim (NRG2infinit), the birthday boy!!! Dude, I'm sorry I didn't remember it was your birthday at the club; I would've wished it to you a dozen times! But you were also tearing the floor up and we had tons of fun that way so it was cool!
- Also nice to meet you, Blue and Time2Burn.
I know I'm missing someone...well, I did miss out on meeting Clublifexxx and Steph_Stenton...hopefully that'll happen soon! :)
Oh, another highlight...when Deko-Ze came on I HAD to do TEH RJ (hopefully TrickDaddE's pic turns out well)!!!
WHOA...been at work for 1.5 hours and this is all I've been doing...talk to y'all LATA!!!

i die my friend! i'm happy you guys got to hear it. (i wonder if my requesting last night on the forum helped lol)...if so you owe me HUUUUGEEE haha jk.
that track list looks insane...definately looks like the nite gave johan a run for his money. if i had to choose between the two, i'm stil very very happy i saw johan, but to bad i couldn't make it to this to (on the brightside i was spinning trance music with a few friends last nite for fun very very loudly ;) so at least i gotta make the ultimate track selection hehe. |

Engine9 was that guy in the white tshirt :)
and MidnightClubber couldn't make it last night. I feel sorry for him and all others who missed that crazy night!
I feel sorry for myself as well. Amazing set. But due to my busy week, 3 sleepless nights in a row before Sunday and a pointless experiment of having a ***-free party I just couldn't get as much fun as I wanted to!
fayraree, u just can't imagine how jelous I was about your towel. it was HOT, man! sauna! baaaah! |

Point taken, you like to write long-winded essay style reviews that push the borders of extreme irrelevance.
People are more likely to read a review that is conscise, to the point, and most of all appropriate. Paragraph shout-outs (to some people who aren't even on the board WTF!?) is totally unecessary. |
