only freaks like us think the tracks are old and overplayed, because we read all the tracklists and listen to all the livesets...

I have 2 or 3 PvD Sets from 2005 and i only liked 2. Why that? Because I've been to 4 pvd gigs in about half a year and he's been playing the same crap tracks over and over again. you don't have to be a ta to be annoyed by paul's track selection

why does everyone now say..
"yeah its true tracks are old but most ppl never heard of the tracks anyway"
when ISOS4 came out it was the same people that said
"lol so much old stuff... wait till TPOD2 is released"

horrible!
even the mixing on this one aint good enough to save the album

In comparison to ISOS4 was really good and innovative. Why? Because he didn't put the same tracks on the CD he's been playing for half a year before the CD came out. I don't say that I like ISOS4, it's way behind ISOS 1-3 but it's far better than TPOD2 as are Tiesto's current livesets compared to Pauls (and i would have never thought i would say that...)

I'm a PVD fan but I've been listening to this the last few days and I just doesn't move me. Maybe it's because I own half the tracks already and feel like I could have made this mix. TPOD 1 is timeless for me. I can put it on and enjoy it still today. I just can't see wanting to listen to this in a year.

In some ways I think this was doomed from the beginning because the expectations where massive. On top of that it was announced FOREVER ago. Then TPOD 2 Tour came and went months ago but still no release. To top it off the entire release was available all over the net before Paul even released the track listing on his site. If there ever is a TPOD 3 I hope it’s kept quite until it is ready to release. I know it's hard to do these days with the internet but this release might hit the discount rack next month.

Regardless, I'll buy a copy to show support.

About keeping quiet, it think there is hardly anyone better than Vandit. If not, people would at least know when their releases come out  :toothless

The mixing on this compilation is not bad at all, In fact it's good. But most of the tunes that's picked out here, Really sucks, But not all.

so is "nothing" really on this compilation?

after reading so many pages of this thread my expectations are now VERY low, but i'll still grab it to show support. just listened to part of TPOD 1 last night for the first time in a long time... still a great comp!

Seriously. He does up the bpm during lives sets. Plainly seen in the Energy 2003 set. But on the live albums such as TPOD 1 he didn't really up the bpm. It's mainly something he does for livesets, and livesets only.

If your expectations are so low, why are you going to still buy it?

There is no point in rewarding mediocrity......

Perhaps... but I do not know many of these songs so I will enjoy hearing "new" music (to me at least... i'm not nearly as big a PVD freak as some on this board, hehe).

I find the tracklist really poor.

Absolutely not going to lay my cash on this.
I`ve been to a gig of his some time ago and got bored. Started looking around...
If the cd is anything like that, well I don´t think I`m anxious to take a listen.
Moreover, since he said that there is no decent trance tracks lately, why release the comp. anyway?

CD 2 seems to have more of the vibe that I'm looking for. However, I like listening to the first CD, as well. I still like the first TPOD better, even though the two compilations shouldn't even be compared to each other; with the sound of the music changing drastically these last few years.

Not really.
