I have spent over $900 in the past 5 weeks, on GASOLINE.

this. I am doing a really ty summer co-op with a water company north of Hamilton, and I drive a LOT for this job. They give me a $100 per month gas allowance, which is a ing joke, and whenever I bring it up they get all pissy and really mad.
I'd quit, but hey, it's almost time to go back to school and I need these next few paycheques for the upcoming parties.
Nine hundred and eight dollars. In 5 weeks. On gasoline.
I'm almost to the point that I don't care how ty Volkswagens are, I want a diesel Golf simply because of the fuel economy. I don't care that the car will fall apart around the driveline, 5L/100km is a lot better than the 13 that I currently get.
Either that or a Fortwo. |

That's why I do it.
I'm not driving 400kms a day for this . I don't get paid nearly enough for that. |

you definitely have a case for argument.. you should tell them you'll drive up to the gas allowance and see what they say.. maybe all of a sudden you'll get the clients within 15-20 minutes..

Cale you should've got a job closer to Cambridge then.
But $900 is a joke, I wouldn't take a job that would cost me that much. |

What good is the paycheque if you're using it to pay for their gas. Tell'em to pay up or you're finished, they don't do work for free and neither do you. Any moron who gets all pissy should understand that reasoning. |

oooouch! when they told you they'll be paying you mileage, did they specify per km or just a set 'budget'? usually they do one of the two. the company i'm working my co-op at pays me per km, but thats only if i have to visit a client or another bureau. really, i wouldn't rest until i got something more out of the deal, because you're getting screwed! see if you can talk to your co-op department or something.. maybe they have some pull.
gas is such a huge chunk out of the bank account too man, i feel ya.. i do about 600km/week going to and from work (hamilton) and add parties in toronto on top of that.. fack  |
