i use primus for all phone needs (i know that they just resell Bell stuff but i don't care).

it's cheap and i have had few problems. (only initially when they were just getting of the ground and didn't anticipate so many people switching over).

Ya, I was checking out that Vonage thing for Pat too... I believe they're gonna have a stand at Taste of the Danforth this weekend too, so maybe talk to some reps there.

Ya Nat...I think I wanna go for Taste of the Danforth...and check that stand out.

I think I'll call primus too...just to see why they wanted a deposit.

Somehow...I have a funny feeling about Bell. I remember I changed from Bell to Sprint because my Bell bill was like $49/month. And it's not that I don't wanna pay my share...but why should others get a better deal and I pass up those ones.

what is the content of the email.... simply telling us you received an email is not enough info for us to possibly give you any meaningful opinion based on.

OK...then..here's the body

"The email you submitted through our website last week was recently forwarded to my attention to address. I did try to contact you at home but unfortunately there was no answer and I wasn’t able to leave a message. I am available to address the issues in regards to your treatment by our accounts receivable department. I can be reached at the below telephone number from 9-5:30pm.

Thank you"

Is it no surprise that I'm not home during the day...I suppose if I couldn't call back then I'm outta luck. As luck has it...I finish work early so I'm going to call around 4:30...but then...is Rogers worth it...I mean to resolve this issue :conf:

Personally i don't think its worth your trouble with them...i don't ever want to deal with them again, for my cell, cable or internet. Its far too expensive, and really not worth the hassle. Its all up to you whether you want to stick with them and put up with their crap.

personally i am with primus, i had bell didnt have issues with phone line, just their internet which i was upset over their billing.

I switched,after a few months i got a job there(bell) recently so LOL:haha:

go for a local link line in res for bell . If you want i can ask someone to set you up with it ;) :D

Another way to NOT be on contract for a cell phone. Buy an unlocked or used phone and buy your own sim card.
Then get it activiated etc. When you go this route you are not in a contract. You can bail anytime you want.

I asked for the next person up from this supervisor and she said it's not going anywhere higher because she does not feel it needs to. How are we supposed to deal with this kind of problem when we come across it?
That's why I emailed a 2nd complaint letter. I don't know if they are really gonna call me back. I'm sure this supervisor has probably put some derrogatory note on the file about me, since she was intent on not allowing anyone else to know about their bad customer service. It's unfortunate but I've seen these kind of supervisory practices done before where they cover themselves and all their wrong doings.

BTW I forgot to mention earlier what this supervisor said when I told her this kind of customer service is unacceptable.

She said, and I quote:
"Well what do you want me to do about it...fire him...because that's not going to happen"
(what shocks me most is that I never asked for anyone to get fired. That's not my job)

Here's what I expect for my money:
I expect good timely service with no attitude from their billing department and customer service agents. I think being 10 business days late with a mere $20 outstanding(after having paid 75% of the bill) and having always paid in full and on time for 7yrs does not justify calling me delinquint, nor that my account should be sent to some harsh collection guy. I think I have a right to expect proper courtious and equitable service for my money.

Now I've written about this in this forum not just to vent, but to let you guys know what to expect....

BUYER'S BEWARE! now that Rogers has takenover for sprint canada

if she said it 'didn't need to go to the next level' that shoudln't be her call to make, it should keep elevating until the problem is solved. if you know the original person's name, you shoudl call the call centre and see if they have another supervisor or a way to fin out who you were speaking with, the best thing you can do is to become a thorn in the side of these ppl!

Thanks for the advise. I think that's what I'm going to be. Even though I've decided not to stay with them...I'll make 2 more attempts to get my message across to someone higher, so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Thanks for the feedback guys :D

Rogers offers this too. I think I pay 5 bucks a month unlimited time to anywhere.... I'd have to ask my wife for the exact details but I know it's much better then any phone plan out there.

Rogers offers VOIP? Are you for real? Details?
