IMO - anything that works good for the face, would work good for the body.

Stay away from the Nair on the body (a hellish experience with that stuff is all I have to say...).

Yea, never tried the Nair and never had a desire to either. The old razor and blades work no matter where I'm shaving, and I shave everything except for my arms and legs (and back too I suppose).

For the ladies...

I like the Schick Intuition Razor. It comes with the moisturizing/lathering bar built around the razor blades. Very quick and convenient for those days when you really dont have time to play with gel/shaving cream and worry about getting nicks & cuts. I have been using this product for 2 years and am happy to report I have NEVER been cut!

Pricewise - its comparible to a can of shaving cream and a 3-pack of good razors, ($11) and lasts about 4 uses. Refills can be bought in packs of 3 for approximately $16.. worth every penny.

I really wish someone made this product for men, just so they could see how great it is :)

Its always one of those things with guys and body hair..."WTF do I use" type of situations. I have tried the
Nair and can say it really depends on the skin type I guess. I tried it, never had a problem, untill this
one time I left it on too long. W/E YOU DO DONT LEAVE IT ON LONG!! I was irritated on my shoulder area
for about a week. Stopped using Nair cause it just dosnt look healthy at all...anyone who'se yused it
knows what i'm talking about, it literally emulsifies your hair. So I went to waxing, its a pain but
works ok, never tried shaving..will check out that stuff though. Been using Nivea and it does give a little
razor burn every now and then.

Absolutely NOT impressed with Nivea shaving gel.

how much does this usually go for ?

I use Keihl's "Close shavers" Squadron. (cream)

very good but pricey. but since im lazy and dont shave all the time, one tube has lasted me quite some time.

I highly suggest it.

I use to use gels but they never really hit the spot. This cream does.

Im looking into getting a brush too. Nothing beats an old school brush and good cream shave.

Ill try out the Florena next since its much cheaper.

Although I have a baby face, I used to care so much about having the best of everything. I too even researched shavers.

One time, I splurged and spent a hundred bucks on this bad boy:

But I find myself more often than not going back to the Mach 3 for sheer convenience. That, and since slicing my ball sack, I'm afraid to go near the straight razor.

j.k. :p

^^^ the Merkur Futur is my weapon of choice these days as well (unless I'm travelling/camping, then it's M3)

RJ...which other creams have you tried before concluding that Florena one is the "best"?
