This gun violence is getting ridiculous!

2 more people died last night downtown.
On Saturday night an innocent victim was shot for no reason as he was walking through a park with his friends.
And you know what has happened in other days prior to these events this summer.
I rememeber walking downtown on summer evening on yonge when suddenly yellow tape was placed. Some ****** started shooting up some street kid in the middle of the intersection near HMV
I think that anyone found with a gun should be sent to jail for a year. There is simply NO REASON to have a gun. I hope Toronto doesnt come to the point where good people have to carry registered guns becuase they are afraid.

| yeah thats pretty bad, but everyone that gets caught always has a stolen gun or smuggled from the US how can you stop that ? i also remember a documentry on how theres a gang immigration into canada, and all of the latest shootings look like they're gang related. wtf! that needs to be carefuly checked! |

actually 60% of illegal guns are stolen from private canadian gun collections according to what i read last week.
but yes we have to have stricter immigration as well as gun control. We also need to get rid of the gun registry and hire more cops with all that wasted money. |

There was another murder this morning on my block ( wellesley and Sherbourne area), which could potentially be a retaliation killing for the murder LAST weekend half a block west @ wellesley and Homewood.
ing ppl who can only solve a greivance by driving by or shooting someone from behind. |

Saying that guns are being smuggled from the US is just another way to take the attention from the ACTUAL issue and put the blame on someone else (by the way goashem this is not in particularly against something you said but just in general against all the stuff that is being saind in the media about this issue lately).
And yes it is pretty rediculous lately...the only thing is that most of the shootings are gangs fighting each other (not that it's a positive thing...not at all...but most likely you won't be randomly shot) |

i have to wonder though why the police and the media rarely give a detailed description of the suspects any more. They want the public to help them yet they wont help the public.
I suspect more bull politcial correctness here... |

Many in the media will flat out tell you that it is political correctness that keeps them from printing discriptions. |

| People need to be seriously disciplined before this town becomes wat other metropolitan cities have turned into. This is not wat TO's all about.... Toronto has been known for its safe streets and its friendly population.... it would be a pity if these are taken away :confused: |
