People buy things because they can, why does it have to be such a big deal. If nice things weren't such a big deal we'd all be driving geo metros, wearing salvation army clothing, living in 1200sq ft trailer homes but this is reality and many people enjoy nice things. If the guy wants to buy a $10,000 watch, a Ferrari, $400/pr jeans then really what does it matter?

example: I'm not a rich guy but after blowing through 4 pairs of ty $80 skechers shoes after the hard leather split from the glued bases and the rubber soles wore out I finally got a clue and bought a couple $300 pair of italian made shoes. Are they better? Is the leather better? Will they last longer? Do they fit better? BY FAR. Worth the extra money to me and I will do it again for the rest of my shoe purchases.

Exactly. Usually, you're spending the extra money for a reason. And in my case, I'm not even spending extra money since I bought all of the stuff on sale.

Fruit of the Loom is far and away a bigger corporation than Armani or Diesel could ever dream of being. So, in essence, you're a hypocrit for contributing to them by purchasing their clothing.
Linden Flowers
Perhaps. I don't wear either though, so it dosent matter to me.

What, do you spin your own cotton into thread and weave your own shirts, just to "spite the man"?

Linden Flowers
Yes.

I figured he just had himself spliced with a silk moth, a la "The Fly", so he can make his own fabric.
