OK... Now I know it's like over a week late, but I gotta give my $0.02. I regards to the haters, you all have some very valid points in regards to stopping the flow of the music, the trainwrecking, etc. I, for one, believe that if you do whatever is is you do for a living you should do your best to live up to your reputation ESPECIALLY if you are supposedly #1, according to whatever poll. IMHO, I think Tiesto is trying to milk this #1 thing for all it's worth. Has anyone listened to ISOS 4? :conf: WTF? I made the mistake of popping disc #1 in on the way home from San Diego (in broad daylight, no less), and I almost crashed my car from dozing off! It was fluffy and BORING...
Now about TIC... I had a in' blast. He might have trainwrecked a few (i wasn't counting) times. He also had a lot of technical errors, lighting and whatnot (according to the other more experienced TAs) but honestly, I don't think the crowd seemed to mind. I was the unofficial mobile barometer for the party. I danced my way around the party with my spray bottle, just hooking people up (DJ Woody posted a pic of my ARM earlier in this thread). People were literally SHOVING others aside just to get to me, and I always obliged. I didn't ask for anything back, maybe the occasional hug. :tongue2 One guy gave me a dollar which I thought was so funny. He handed it to me and told me to hook him up. I woulda done it for free. I consider it a public service. Whenever I would hook up a large group of people, I alwys asked them, "Are you having a good time?" Invariably the answer would be a resounding "YEAH!" If I hooked you up, you're more than welcome. If i missed you, I'm sure I'll get you at the next party I attend.
In closing, I wanted to say that for the most part everyone cut loose and had a good time, I know I did. If you think Tiesto sucks, then vote on it, eventually I KNOW he'll lose that spot, especially if he doesn't keep up on his skills. He's much better live though, in spite of all the distractions and foo-foo dancers/acrobats/drummers etc. Serioulsy though, it... Why do we attend parties anyway...? 'cuz I forgot... Oh yeah, it's to have a good time, dance yourself in' silly, and vibe with your peeps. ;) Peace. |

In regards to the haters. In Europe and other parts of the world they see events like this all the time! ( Senstaion white/black/ Trance Energy....) We fianlly get something in the states and people complain! I do not get it:conf: Oh well differnt strokes for differnt folks.
I give major Kudos to everyone who put TIC on! The show was amazing!! |

Like I said...the vibe in TiC LA was great...crowd was awesome...but it was just not the same as those over there...
I paid 75$ for Dance Valley last year, and it was IN-ING-SANE (I think I told you that already Michelle)...anyways...people over here need to get their asses to Europe...theres no reason why we should be short changed...we could have parties on a par with or better than those in Europe...but if nobody complains how will things get better? :) |
