So. I'm sitting here thinking tonight... while drinking a bit, mind you.
When did my tolereance really soar to its highest? I mean.. it's at it's highest at the moment.. so. Anyway.
I can now take anything that's 100 prooof and just swish it around like water in my mouth. Is that a good thing?
I almost miss the days when the thought of shooting any kind of liquor made me wanna puke. I even remember the first beer my mom got me.. Rolling Rock. It was the most foul tasting beverage in the world. Now I love beer! MMMMMMMMMmmMMMmMMMmmMmmmmmMmmMMMM BEER!
So uh.. what's your tolerance or something to make this thread worhtwhile.

Perhaps you are talking more about acquiring a taste for alcohol?
Hehe I used to live at almost 8000 feet, and drinking up there is a whole different ballgame (plus I don't drink much to begin with).
You get drunk really fast. |

| I don't have much tolerance really. Enough to not completely embaress myself, but low enough to not have to spend a fortune on a good night out. a nice situation to be in really! |

i dont drink too often but i'm 6'4" and about 180 lbs so i have an ok tolerance to start out with.
the other night i had smirnoff, two shots of 80 proof tequilla, a large rum n coke, a tequilla sunrise, a screwdriver and a can of beer and i was pretty drunk. i felt like all the next day, but.. i didnt eat anything pretty much at all the whole day before or during drinking so that didnt help.
as opposed to my friend who gets drunk off of 1 smirnoff and a half a beer. :haha: |

Those people are the best. But it does kinda piss me off that they're drunk in the first 20 minutes of any party. |

| By the way, I drank half a fifth of vodka.. mostly straight last night and felt less drunk than I've been the past few times I've been drinking. Kinda disappointing really. I feel perfectly fine today. Just having vodka burps. |

Ok i dont want to start a flame war but i reckon us brits could drink you americans under the table. I can drink a bottle of vodka (70cl) no problem, 10 beers no problem and my tolerence is pretty average compared to my mates...
Guster: How much is 'half a fifth of vodka?' |

my pen0r is bigger than your pen0r because i can drink more...
see but there are some people who can pound back shots and chug back beers really fast. and then some people can drink a hell of a lot and maintain as long as they want.
I fall in the latter category because i dont like poundng shots and consuming mass amounts of beer in a short time, but i can drink steadily and nonstop for a long long time.
I guess tolerance is different for different people. |
