"Three men went to a hotel and were told that there was only one room left and that it would cost $30 for the night. They paid $10 apiece and went to the room. The desk clerk, discovering that by mistake he had overcharged them by $5, asked the bellboy to return the $5. The bellboy, not being as honest as the desk clerk, reasoned that since $5 is not easy to divide three ways, he would keep $2 and return $1 to each of the three men. Each man thus actually paid only $9 apiece, or a total of $27 for the room. Add to that the $2 the bellboy kept and the total is $29.
Where did the missing dollar go?"
Please post too! |

NEW ONE:
How do you cut a cake into 8 slices with only 3 cuts?
If anyone decides to post their own, PLEASE don't post any super obscure riddle/puzzle. It should be challenging, but not insanely difficulty. |

It didn't go anywhere. You just used booger math. $10 x 3 = $30. A one dollar rebate per is $9 x 3 = $27. The bellboy kept $2, so $27 - 2 = $25. You added instead of subtracting the $2.

Alright, since NOBODY feels like solving the cake one, I'll solve it.
ANSWER :
You cut it in half. Then in fourths. After that, you cut the middle. That's exactly 8 slices (4 on each layer), using 3 cuts. |

Well, 2 people tried. One more text puzzle, the next will be PICTURES! (YAY?):
Pandora, Harry, Alec, Gemima and Geoffrey are animals in a zoo. The other day one of them ate an animal called Tabitha. Who ate her and what type of animal was it?
? ATE HER |

Alec clearly ate her because he was an alligator.
A simple riddle based on a verbal pun. Your cake one was simple and the missing dollar bill question is older than my great-grandfather's tombstone. |

Heres another easy riddle that has likely been posted here before and anyone from Lud will recognize.
I occur once in a month twice in a millenium, but not once in a hundred thousand years. What am I? |
