Hi everyone.

Over the last year, some really hard, techy trance tunes have come out, and I love them!

The ones that I can remember off the top of my head are:

Sam Sharp - Error
Ronald Van Gelderen - Cold Storage
Rank 1 - Top Gear <---- I love this tune
Fred Baker - Total Blackout <---- This tune blows me away
Marcel Woods - Static State
Armin Vs. M.I.K.E. - Intruder <---- Nice
Clokx - Feelings (Dub Mix) <---- Not sure if it can really be classified as Tech, but oh well
Sander - A.K.A.

I'm trying to build a tracklist. Could you guys recommend more songs similar to these?
isoterra
alexander gustaff - technetic (mark norman remix)
precursor - solar 1 (base mix)
manny romero - compadre (svd remix)
re-create - liberty
beyond unreal - rhythm
denga & manus - music 4 the masses (vengeance club mix)

maybe

Well, I guess your question implies that there are different kinds of tech-trance. For example, from personal opinion, I could classify the following as tech-trance:

F.Massif - Understatement
Marco V - C:\del*mp3
Oliver Lieb presents Smoked - Metropolis (Metro US Mix)
Carl Cox - Dirty Bass (Trevor Rockliffe Mix)

I'm not sure if artists such as P.H.A.T.T. or S.H.O.K.K. qualify as tech-trance but I think they are definitely hard trance producers with harder and faster beats. I'm not talking about that kind of trance here.

My kind of tech-trance is repetetive, has little or no melody, has mechanical and/or throbbing sounds, and may or may not have that Fred Baker snare on the 2nd and 4th notes. Total Blackout, Top Gear and Intruder are the best examples that I can think of. But maybe I'm wrong and those don't really qualify as tech-trance, you know?

If they don't then I really don't know how to classify those tunes, because they definately do not sound like ordinary prog or epic trance.
