| Boa was the only true house club for me. Everytime I was there, I heard the best house music in the city. Everytime I went for a party, the party just got better, one after another. I don't think you can witness a club like that, with such high potential. The best party I have attended there was Tarantella & Redanka's debut, which had a amazing atmosphere and it was the first I felt a true sense of love for house music. I will never forget that feelin'. That night was just perfect. I will not be able to join the last party tonight :( But I know Boa will be back and with vengence :D |

This is some sad news, for sure.
I'm especially dissappointed because I never got a chance to TRULY party it up at Boa. I've been there 3-4 times, but I always missed those legendary nights. But, those 3-4 times that I've been there I always came out with a smile on my face.
I really hope BOA comes back in a venue that's just as suitable as the old theatre for that massive soundsystem. Anything less just won't be the same.
Good luck to the Boa crew in finding a new home :) I'll definately be at the opening party, THIS TIME. |

Definitely sad news....as others have said, BEST NYE PARTY OF MY LIFE!
I will miss you, Boa! But look forward to the re-opening in another location. ;) |

This news is simply devastating. :(
Boa has been THE ABSOLUTE BEST afterhour club in Toronto since it's inception and it is with deep sadness we watch you close your doors. Everthing about the club has been WORLD CLASS... from the awe-inspiring sound system, to the crowds, the staff, the promotors and the unbeatable DJ talents that spun there... everything about Boa was bang on and it is a such a shame to see it come to an end.
Rony... Boa will be impossible to replace, but we look forward to hearing from you in the very near future re: a new venue. Your love of the music is undeniable and your heart-felt desire to bring this city some of the purest, hard-core underground parties it has ever seen can not be suppressed. This is only a minor glitch in the big scheme of things... the party is long from over! :)

Before there was a Boa-redux, there was a Boa which existed from 1989 to 1998. To this day I am reminded by many of the then regulars about the beautiful old days. While I agree that it is impossible to recreate the past, it is more than possible to create something new that will in its own time become another legend. Such is the case with Boa-redux.
Our new venue is already under construction, and our absence will be brief; and we hold some surprises for everybody!
I look forward to seeing all of you tonight so that we may cheer the magic of the last 21 months!

Whoa now this is a shock!
easily one of my all time preferred nightclubs is closing and relocating!!!!!
I really hope the new venue is just as acoustically sound. Cuz that's what made Boa so good.
My goodness, it's sad, but I'm eager to see and experience the new venue. |

I heard a lot of things about the club, and it's owner's. I wonder how much of it (if any) is true....So I thought i'd stir the pot a bit.
It's good to stir the pot sometimes, because it keeps the bottom from burning.
1. One of the owner's has angered a lot of people and as a result, has hits out on him.
2. The same aforementioned owner is getting sued by the rest of the owner's.
3. There is no new venue and the aforementioned owner has to leave the country as a result of having "hits" out on him.
4. The landlord refused to renew their lease.
5. There is no chance of them ever getting a sound system like that again after burning so many bridges. |
