EDM, especially Trance is so emotional!
and the parties, oh the parties... :D so far Ive been having my experiences in DVDs and live videos, but I get the picture of what the atmosphere is like in there, being in in would be a whole dif story ;) ) |

some of u like it just cuz... ask urselves why, really.
i guess the reason i like it is cz u can get so many noises off a drum kick. sound fading from left to right, noises that literally touch ur nerves, no music does that to me.
i figured one thing out: synth noises are addictive.
i blame my edm love to 2unlimited, prodigy, and my addiction to atb, fatboy slim, mr. oizo and so many more. |

I love it because of the emotional Effect it has on me and how it effects my mood.... the uplifting stuff makes me goosebump and i go hyper and smile and im happy
As said before Syths are so fookin addictive, its just amazing and fresh and i dont hear it in any other music, spesh non-EDM
my mate is a big Rap and RnB fan and i just sit ther silent and cringe to the music.... This one time he played a really crap rap tune in his car and i was really hungover and annoyed so i pressed the eject button and chucked the CD out the window and put on Cass and Slide - Perception ( new vocal mix ) aaaaaaaahhhh pure bliss....... he didnt speak to me for a few days :haha: |

I basically like EDM because every track is a rare "journey", with other genres you don't really get the same kind of sounds that get to you like the typical EDM sounds does.
And since EDM usually doesn't contain text with a "story" you kind of tend to make your own story, a story full of energy and emotions you didn't think existed at all.
To me, listening to EDM is to let go of your limitations and be free, be what you want to be.......it's to reach a higher state of consciousness. |

It really annoys me when people say its only goes boom boom, etc.
Because when you listen to 90% of chart hits, they are the most simple pieces of crap ever made. I mean how long do you think it takes to knock together some hip hop beats?
Not bloody long at all.
Dance music however, while on the outside to the ignorant fool may just seem like a 4x4 kick (I know breaks etc dont have that, but you know what i mean!) on the inside its pure quality.
You can go out and dance all night to your favorite tunes, thinking it cant get any better then another beauty is dropped by your favorite dj. Bliss!
Then you can go home and lie in bed listening to the tunes played that night on your headphones and relive the expericence and then the artists becomes the star as appose to the dj in the club. Cause at night when you shut your eyes and focus on the music, you lose your self in the details of the tune, a blinding example for me is Private Taste - First, or BT's stuff. It's just ear candy.
Most other music is what you hear, what you get.
Plus no other music can really be mixed as smoothly or as creativly as EDM.
