It makes the crowd scream, and makes my ears smile.
My girlfriends friend said "they all start the same"
No, really dumb? If they all started out with vocals and pads, HOW IN THE WOULD I BE ABLE TO MIX THEM. She is the kind of person that wants instant gratification and if the first 30 seconds is not good, then the genre is trash.
One week later I caught her listening to DJ SAMMY..... wow.

When people ask me why i listen to EDM.......i basically say something like this:
Because out of the 3 levels of listening to music, id like to think i have an ear for the 3rd. The first is when music is background music, the second is when you pay attention to lyrical content and the basic jist of the song, and the 3rd- the music composition.
I don't really like lyrics cuz its the artist forcing a meaning upon me. I don't want to be sad by sad lyrics or happy by happy lyrics. I like to make up my own meaning to a song.
With ONE edm song you can experience so many emotions.
if im listening to an emo song.....then im going to feel emo, and wonder "why defuk am i feeling emo? Oh! It's cuz this song is emo, and it sucks!" :(

it's aural s.e.x !!!
with a humpable beat
and it makes you mad kool while listening with sunglasses in the car.
& it's machine driven, no human bias.
& massive dance parties with sweating bodies
& I always think of dancing Ru-Paul in dark strobe light, which is a good sight for the old eyes. :toothless |

No need to play advocate man, that was my answer not an attack on the person asking the question... loosen up dude. Why would you ask anyone why they like women... I'm sure anyone you ask would say, I don't know - who cares....
If you really enjoy something you don't think about the reasons... If your at a kick ass party, are you going to take a break from the keg-stand and say to yourself, wow, what a great party! Who gives a , enjoy!
What are you going to say, I love trance for the synthesised sounds that blah blah blah..... I love rock for the cool guitars blah blah blah How does it make ya feel? there's your answer. |
