I've been waiting so long to see Matt Darey spin and finally my wish has been granted. What an awesome set at that. He totally blew me away, kicked my ass all over that dance floor. Glad I got to meet him after and let him know how much I enjoyed it. Thank you Mr. Darey!!
Filo & Peri also put on a great performance. A bit more techy than what I'm used to hearing from them but I like!! :) Awesome energy behind the decks and in person.
Chiclet & Key did a good job opening. Some old tracks were dropped. Tygon... wow dood... your closing tech-trance set is just what I needed. Loved the energy and track selection. You still had me going even when I had no energy left. LOL!
Great seeing so many TAs out. I'm sure everyone got their money's worth last night. The music & vibe threw me back to the 2002/2003 days of viva... yes, the good old days. It was nice meeting Tamiko, CanadaBoyTRANCE (love the tshirt) & m2j last night. Hope to see you guys around. Dan, I hope your fingers are ok... those were some nasty cuts. Laura, sad to hear they didn't let you back in. Karim, I hope everything is cool. Jay, good job with the lighting and thanks for going easy on the strobes. loconet & loca... it's been a while since I partied with you guys. :) Everyone else, it was great hanging out and dancing up a storm with you guys.

well the night started off too a good start. my friend and i got in on the guestlist even though it was after 12.30. it was kinda creepy that the whole dance floor was empty at that time. so me and him chilled for a bit and then i went up to the bar to find a lot of TAs. had a good time talking to all of you.
i went back down again and filo and peri started a pretty good set. put out about 30 min of dancing and then we went up to the bar again to chill cuz the set got harder and it wasnt my thing. so we waited until matt darey came on and let me say that he rocked it proper!!!
o man the tracks this man was dropping were insane!!! one after another, i didnt think i would be able to make it. and his energy was just amazing. such a happy guy, but then again, seeing all the TAs dance their asses off must have been great to see. we really know how to rip it up.
again, great seeing all the TAs and see you all next week!!! |

well i cant remeber many names but u guys know who u are, but thanks to celica and ampz for the tickets!
i never got to meet the infamous jayx1 unfortunately hehehe
Oh and the girl who got kicked out from the back of the smoking lounge, that was stupid move on the bouncers part. Sorry to hear that! i know they can be pricks at most clubs!

first time at Viva...pure sketch everywhere....i would have left the place at 1am if I had not been a TA...TRUST!!! NOT MY SCENE...but I was in excellent company and i had not a single worry :)

F&P was a lil too techy for me in the beginning but then they started droppin some good TUNES wow MOJADO- SENORITA what an amazing track!!! WELL DONE!! too bad Laura and I took a pic with some random guys thinking they were F&P hahaha JOKE OF THE CENTURy ...u guys can see it when Irishaddict posts her pics...it wasn't until the end of the night when i was introduced to F&P that i realized i took a pic with someone other than F&P ...HAHAHA Laura we're such losers OMG

Well, what a night :)
Kicking tracks, awsome people and great times
Much respect to all the TA's out there that came out. Minimal problems witht he club and so on(I LOVE that a TA runs the DJ booth area, thats the way it should be! haha. much respect HardTrance(i think that was it)
Music was great. some banging tunes. F&P's remix of God was awsome. THey also dropped some crazy as house tune i forgot to ask them about. (They spent like 3 hours outfront of the club after the set shacking up with some girls. lol). Was glad to be a part of there crew filming that night :)
Matt Darey lived up to what he was billed at. Awsome tunes and an outstanding gentelman (and his gf too). Had the chance to interview and then chill with him in the offices for a hour or so, class guy. Lets say im sure he will be back at viva soon :)
As for the other dj's, Key and Chiclet were very kool. some nice trance. the live FX on Rock your Body Rock were kool
Tygon's set was stelar. After the night was over the bounce came into the office and was like "who was the closing dj?" and time was like yup, then the bouncer was like "havn't you ever heard of toning it down to finish out a night. !" lol.
Overall very good night. We shall see if i make it out for MIKE as its my b-day that night and I think im playing in Kitchener.
