Saying overrated nowadays is being opportunist. Raul already gave his best years, goals and sacrifice (stats speak by themselves).

opportunist?:rolleyes: i am not puto...real mandrin fan. i dont care, raul sucks. hes goals are always close in the area, he cant score from outside or shoot a free kick. he was lucky to be in real mandril where the press gives him a lot of publicity,ect....:clown: |

He did score some free kicks (some years ago, yes, when Roberto Carlos and Hierro weren't available for a certain match) and outside the area (for example, against Barça in Champions League semis 2002). He scores a lot from short range? Not all the strikers/forwards know where to be in the right moment, and not many players are more clever than Raul in the area: he's very smart, and he's a winner, a player that doesn't hide in decisive moments. But, hey, the best Raul is over.

Ronaldinho is the most skilled player I've seen since Zidane, but we'll see how many finals wins for Barça, like Raul did for Madrid. Eto'o is more decisive than Dinho for me (he won a Copa Del Rey for Mallorca, for example) in Barça. |

??? How many goals has Eto'o scored from outside the area? Or better yet, how many free kicks has he scored? None. In fact, he even sucks at taking penalty kicks! Eto'o is the biggest cherry-picker there is. All he does is barley put the tip of his toes onto the ball from a great play from Ronaldinho or Deco and takes all the credit. If those are the reasons you say why Raul is overrated, the Eto'o is even more overrated. And if you wan to see Raul scoring from outside the area, check out the amazing rocket that he scored agaisnt Barca while we eliminated you from the champions league in 2002. :stongue: |
