That's cause she is a drag queen...in fact I remember seeing quite a few yesterday lol
Great times though...it was my first time going to boa...and also my last (for that location at least.) I cannot believe what I was missing out on! It was definately so much better than I imagined; the atmosphere and everything else went so perfect together, and of course the sound system was one of the best I have ever heard...even when going to the washroom lol. It's a shame it's closing down...but at least I can say I went to the old Boa. Always a pleasure partying with the TAs; most of you I had met before, but I met a couple of new faces which is nice. Most memorable tune of the night for me was Dirty Freak. I left around 9:50-ish and haven't slept since :/ |

Uh, I dunno about that... I know there was 1 trannie there, but this one just looks like an overtanned, over-worked-out, silicone breasted plastic woman. |

I really wanted to make it out for one final hurrah. Unfortunetly events of earlier on in the day put me in a condition not fit for partying. Instead a bed and a hang over was my company. Sorry to those that I promised I'd show (esp. Erika). :(

I thought Sean held it together quite nicely, some sexy tracks layed in with some peak tunes.
(Mr. Roboto, Dusk Till Dawn, Feel the Vibe are just some that come to mind)
Great crew as usual, I think I finally got to spend more than 5 mins talking to Jeff for once, and it was good to kill that dancefloor one last time.

| It was my first and unfortunately my last time at Boa. I had the best time of my life. You guys weren’t kidding about the system their, my ears were still ringing a day after!! Thanks to everyone that came and partied it up. Hope to see you all soon!!!!! |

You people make it seam like Rony is the victim here, can you figure out why he was kicked out by the landlord , well in wasn't for being an ideal Tenant.. ever wonder whay the A/C was always not working,did you ever wonder why the sound system was repossed.Come on people you all know what the answer is $ or should i say the fact that he doesn,t pay.
And that includes DJ'S , investors , staff etc. He is not the victim here, he is the cause , every wonder why Carey was not welcome , when he left he was nothing but a gentleman and never bad mouthed the club in anyway. He put the club on the map bring DJ,s to a club they had never heard of and made it work.
Rony is not victim he had a perfect situation and he s%#&^@& it up.
Boa was the best club in TO dispite Rony'S efforts , he has screwed everyone he has worked with and will do the same at the new club. |

Thanks for all the nice words : )…….wow!! 2 years. I feel like I was in a relationship…LOL….. A huge thanks to Carey for getting that club to where it is in Toronto and Internationally. Rony for building it and giving me a club to grow in and do my thing. The staff for always being top notch and pleasant, treating everyone with respect. My boy Li for baby sitting that sound system and lights. Erica for being the friendly face at the door and leading our promotions team. I will always cherish that place, as it has been an unbelievable 2 years!!!.....I can’t even explain it…..
What ever the future holds, I’m confident Rony will build another empire with attention to detail and teach the city again what a club should be about.
Musically for me, Boa stood for Class: Sexy Sleazy house music that sang threw the speakers. Big basslines and bouncy grooves. An overall sound that was slick and mature. Are aim was to be cutting edge and bring you a sound that was fresh and unique. Hosting dj’s from all over the world as guests, and a group of Toronto’s finest to come in a do there thing…. I feel like we accomplished what we intended to do.
Saturday’s 9 hour party felt like it went by in 5 mins. With all the regulars in attendance I tried to go threw all of my favorite Boa records old and new over the last 2 years and just have fun. This was my last chance to do it and that was my mentality going in……Boa was about having fun…. hanging out with friends and partying all night long.
I’m glad the staff asked me to play the whole night solo, as that was a nice way to say good bye to my baby…… : ( : )…cheers to the future!!
I will miss u Boa……….on Spadina!?
