After reading this article I am a little puzzled...
I realize how powerful Ice (crystal meth) is and what it can do to one.. but I don't if someone who used for the first time could have the effects this poor couple did. I have never known ice to be the type of drug you hallucinate from.. but I know it can seriously mess with your mind and is a very addictive drug.
I am wondering if this couple was on some other type of drug along with meth... what do you think?? |

I was watching this show on Oprah and Dr. Phil that was dedicated to meth and meth adicts...was really really sad to watch, quire terrifying during some parts, and also quite heartbreaking :( which is why I am personally against all the drugs (among other reasons) :happy2: |

they calling meth "new crack" and (im sorry about this but everybody gotta understand) you know what they say about crack ? " you smoke crack once, you'll smoke dick for a buck at least 500 times, woman or man"
i've read lately about lotsa ed up cases with meth and lotsa of them people aint coming back, one way or another.
so i think it could easily be meth only :

What should be noted here is the difference between snorting and free basing. If one free bases meth it is much, much, more powerful then snorting. Halucinations lasting from hours to days is not uncommon for people free basing crystal.
Stick to snorting and you should be okay! |

I'm hardly an expert, but from what I've heard/read Jen, Meth doesn't act as a hallucinogen, but depending on the lack of sleep said happy candidate has (or hasn't) had your brain could start to play funny tricks on you.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. |

If free based or injected meth can/will cause halucinations... very vivid ones at that. |

oh ya? interesting.
I'm confused as railing Meth would still get it to your bloodstream (albeit not as fast as shooting/ smoking it) and I would think the effects would be at least similiar.
(but I'll take your word for it) |

| My boyfriend watched this Primetime on TV. When he was telling me about it, I was shocked. Very scary stuff. I don't know why people would ever want to do this drug. (I guess that's the way it is with a lot of drugs, but this one it seems, all the outcomes of it are horrible) I've seen pictures of people who have been on meth for a year, they age about 10 years. When you're not high, you constantly feel bugs crawling on you. I've also seen picture of people who have been burned by meth labs. They were cooking meth in their kitchen and the whole thing blew up. It just seems with this drug, it only brings bad times, except for when you're high. (Saw all of this on Oprah by the way) |

It isn't as potent when snorted, much the same way as cocaine isn't as strong if you rail it. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty potent but passing it through skin, mucus membraines and the capilleries in your nose filters out a lot of the active chemicals. |

| Wow, not sure what to say to this. I guess if you're just not sure of yourself and your own state of mind, don't do drugs. |
