Well, reckon the media don't want to show them dead bodies, dead animals, and coffins floating around just quite yet. Real reality is a little too brutal for most in disasters. ARNG and other military troops or civil employees have to deal with the most wretched aspects. They don't get airtime on the media when doing what's got to be done.

| Unless the photographer or reporter or caption writer actually witnessed the black guy "looting" or the two white people "finding", they should not be using those terms at all. They're supposed to report the news, not guess the news. |

I personally see nothing wrong with looting for food & clothes...I mean really??? Are you going to starve & stink like walrus rectum waiting for someone to help you? Besides those stores don't need it anymore...
NOW I will say this...if they're looting for the wrong reasons like stealing Jordan’s, guns, jewelry, & even reported yesterday DRUGS from pharmacy's & clinics it's completely wrong .... the funny thing is that I only really saw black people on the TV... |

well that's not the point. i don't think anyone blames people for getting supplies, it's just the different choice of wording for the black dude and the white chick. looting obviously has a different conotation than finding. looting is a more offensive term suggesting left and so some kind of wrong doing, but finding makes it seem like she is struggling and doing it out of need. |

I agree with this but how can you deem something offensive when you're talking about survival. I don't think I'd personally go and take from a store..."finding" would be the preference.
But what is totally absurd to me is why they're shooting at the military that was trying to evacuate the people?? What the is wrong with those people. :conf: |
