Yeah, bring in an English world beater instead of Sven! Seriously, what have they ever won?

Sven Göran Eriksson made one mistake, and that was to take on the impossible task of managing the English national team. He probably went for the money.

He won the Uefa Cup with IFK Gothenburg(!) in his thirties, he then went on to win the Portugese league with Benfica. He won the Serie A with Lazio and has coached teams like Roma and Sampdoria.

You English are incredible. You see yourselves as Gods gift to football, while you've won the world cup less times than Uruguay and never managed an European Championship.

You should be grateful that we lend you Sven, but instead you moan about how all your troubles would disapear if only you had one of your walk-on-water-second hand coaches as a manager.

No wonder an English coach hasn't won the Premiership(your own league!) for what, 10 years?

Fancy names don't make a team.

the 1966 world cup, and anything in international football before the World Cup began, plus being cheated out of more than a few tournaments.

England would have more world Cups if they even bothered to play in any of the tournaments before 1950.

Well I was talking about Curbishley and Mclaren who were mentioned earlier.

And everyone has bad luck... That you always get cheated isn't a very good argument I'd say

1982 WC with the bull qualification to elimination round rules
1986 hand of God
1998 disallowed goal
2004 disallowed goal

90 on penalties
96 on penalties
98 on penalties
2004 on penalties.

Of course, they' lost in stupid ways (98 beckham being sent off, 2002 seaman's blunder) but they've been ed more than anyone by the referees.

Harry Redknapp is a pretty crazy guy, A complete idiot. We'll see what England can do tomorrow against Austria.

The answer to the above is not very much

England won. Beckham got two yellow cards, One totally wrong in my oppinion and I think that they've got to improve their play if they want to play in the WC next year ;)

The biggest positive for us is that 4 years ago the 2 most out of sorts teams were Brazil & Germany, and we all know how it went there.

1 refereeing decision in WC 86 and you manage to turn it into a whole history of bias against you.

Sol Campbell's two disallowed goals in 98 and 2004 also...they'll find any excuse for England not to win.

there was absolutely nothing wrong with both those goals.

also, plain bad luck on penalties over time as well....many post hittings in extra time, etc.
