Vinyl production to be illegal end of this decade?!

| OK, I read this somewhere on the forums, but it was a quick and uncited comment. Supposedly the government is making vinyl-pressing illegal because of its harm on the environment. I heard this law will pass by 2007 and by 2012, cutting vinyl will be completely illegal. Sounds ridiculous to me, but I figured I'd ask. Anyone knowledgeable about this subject, please post! |

if the pressing of vinyls are that bad, as they are saying, then let the production die. there are other mediums. |

Agreed, plus someone commented about that saying there is nothing environmentally damaging in the breakdown of Vinyl anyways. |
