if u want to be scientific sure, but u implied that ours we're larger than mr normal due to our "position of power" - i can assure u i have no ego from modding, it does my head in. I'd love to just use ta like everyone else, and not face this bombardment of crap all the time, members complaining, the PM's, everything else. Why do you think most mods bugger off within 6 months? they're all for it, and then u never see them again. Me and Neo are about the only ones who have stuck it out hardcore. |

the mods are doing a good job most of the time. Though sometimes they could react quicker to obvious spam/porn.
i'm only affraid if i can be banned for a drunk post ? is it as harmful as a thread ? |

9/10 topics in cor get hijacked by post #4 anyway and get turned into a nonsense thread - so theres plenty of places to post nonsense.
Pink there is a huge difference between drunken spam threads and the chillout threads in florida and atlanta. if i went through the miami chillout thread, i could find atleast 50 different topics that have been discussed, i bet i couldnt find 10 if i added up all of the topics discussed in every drunken thread since they became popular. |

I have never created a drunk thread and never plan to, I just don't understand why there isn't one stickied in c0r, if there were this whole "discussion" would not be happening. People who start frunk threads would get their 48 hour bans. And they would have no one to blame but themselves, they had an option and they didn't use it. Right now there is no option |

listen, i know how it feels to be a mod. Try reading more than 100 poems a day looking for obscene content, suicidal references, and basic gibber gabber that doesn't belong in a poetry forum.:wtf:
I know how that is........ but there is a PRIDE involving "moderatorship". If not, why do it? You are the "role models".........you are the people everyone goes to if they have a problem. It's a leadership role, and along with leadership comes responsibilities and gratification for a job well done.
Now, im just going to say, in the end, it does help out the ego when people commend on on a job well done, no?
I think that's only natural.

well if you get banned it's for something you have said so of course they would have to blame themselves.
marjority rules. alot of ppl didn't like them and a rule was set. is the drunk thread really that important in your life? |

like we said, it's a matter of principle.
the mods are taking away something that was pretty popular around here. The main reason why it's been banned is cuz there were TOO MANY of them........ok, immaturity too, but oh noezzzz!!!!

regardless, the problem wasn't fixed. People kept posting drunk threads, and got banned, even in light of the new rule lol.
best option is to sticky a drunk thread.....and if it sucks, and no one uses it........then to hell with this whole thing.
EDIT, and stren- not tellin. That's a section of my internet life i keep to myself ;) |
