Help - DVD RW wont burn (pg. 3)

| Has the dvd burner worked before? With the same media? |

works with verbatim cdr
works with another dvd disc i have
works with unbranded dvdr and unbranded cdr
i bought 10 of these dvd discs and they dont work :( |

Make sure the IDE channels are running in DMA mode, not PIO.
1. Open up Control Panel, open up System (Performance something in XP) and find Devices/Device Manager.
2. Move to the IDE/ATA Adapters, and open the Primary/Secondary.
3. Make sure they both say DMA in the setting tabs. |

| in case it isn't your drive that just suddenly ed itself, try a different brand of dvd now |

| which kind of disc did u use? (+) or the (-)? most likely u used one thats incompatible with the burner.. try the other format.. |

the drive is fine

| well u either used dvd+rw or dvd-rw.. its labled on the disc |

if u take a look at the box the burner came in, it'll tell u which discs r compatible.. pop in a dvd+r or dvd+rw disc and give it a shot.. also.. u said u burned a dvd br.. take a look at that disc as well.. |

I think the problem with your dvd drive is that you dont put out enough. I think that writer is rebelling against you being a cold fish. If you showed it more care & gave it a bit more action now & again it would have a healthier existance. You know, a blowjob once in a while doesn't hurt. |
